Wilted clone

I just took a cutting from my plant cause the branch wasnt getting much light anyway and for the heck of it put it in some soil in hopes of root formation. After i stuck it in the soil about 15 minutes later the leaves and everything was already wilted and looked like it was dying.. Will fresh cuttings typically wilt like this even if i had rooting gel, rockwool, and a humidity dome?

if you had a humidity dome over it and proper humidity in it, it can still wilt a bit at first until it absorbs some moisture. i have seen them wilt and not wilt. perhaps your clone will make it, try giving it a spraying on the leaves now and then...

Here is a pic of it all wilted up, i gave it a spray right when i planted it earlier this morning and i just misted it again a couple minutes ago.. I might put a plastic bag over the cup and rubber band it around to help out some. the only problem is almost every leaf is laying in the soil so i know they are gonna get all soggy and die.. should i use sunlight or a 55 watt cfl light on it?

So after a couple hours with a plastic bag over it the cutting got much more perky than when it first started and after almost 2 days it is looking even better with all the leaves out of the dirt and the whole stem lifted back up. How long should i keep the bag over it until enough roots have developed?
