Will this work for my HPS?

I bought a socket today at Lowe's for my 150w HPS. I was in a hurry, and just kind of picked up what I thought would work, and figured if it were wrong I could go back later. (Still setting up my grow room, it's not like I have plants waiting)

So what I got is this "Sigma Electric" 150w max 'all weather lampholder'. I screwed the bulb in, and it fits perfectly, however I havent assembled my ballast yet, so I'm not sure if it works, and I'm reluctant to assemble the ballast, and turn it on, only to have my bulb blow because the sockets wrong.

In the corner of the little wrapper it came in it says "Incandescent Luminaire" I realize and HPS isnt incandescent, but i figure maybe itll still work:?::wall:

The bulb might melt the socket so I would return it and get a ceramic one. My 70 watt HPS came with a ceramic socket so I'm sure that a bulb more than twice the wattage would need one also. Good luck

Yeah, it's bronze. I'm not worried about it melting at all. I just want to make sure it'll work without harming the bulb or ballast.
