this t5 is from amazon Looking for something cheap for my next grow hoping it will help them get through the seedling stage better then my 400mh thinking that's why my seedlings are growing so slow didn't give them a chance under normal light .. any help appreciated

I use 485 watt t5's in veg because they burn cooler than my 400 mh.
If I vegged any larger than 16 inches tall I'd go back to my 400mh because it penetrates the canopy deeper than t5.

Do you think that's why my seedlings could be so small after 14 days ? Is from using the mh ?
who knows? If your light is too close you could be stunting growth.
If your mh heats up your space too hot you could be stunting growth.
My mh never stunted growth.
My guess is either an ill environment or bad watering/feeding habits or both.

400 mh is a bit overkill for seedlings but it should work okay with proper conditions... proper distance from seedlings, heat and humidity etc ...

Even a $10.97 T8 4 ft at wal mart plus about $8 for two bulbs will work. MH is generally too strong for seedlngs and babies.
