Will this seed sort itself out or do I need to turn it?

You need to relax bud.
LITFA and smoke a doobie. :joint:
I hear you, but after losing 4 seeds in the last attempt I'm trying to get this right lol.

Still no root structure appearing yet. In fact, one of the tap roots on the second plant has seemingly disappeared :S

The root disappeared because it air pruned itself.
I place the rooters in the medium as soon as they sprout to allow the tap root to grow unhindered.
When do you plan on planting them?

I'd planned on planting them when there were lots of roots coming out of the sides of the root riot.

Doesn't look like that's going to happen any time soon though, so I don't actually know at this point. Probably asap?

What is your reasoning for waiting?
I can't think of a good one.

After losing 4 seeds last time round, this time I placed my seeds under light as soon as I saw them at the top of the root root. However, I think one of them is growing upside down. At this point, since they’ve been under light for about 12 hours, if it is the root, it will be damamged won’t it?

hope yours turn out better then mine did, the seeds popped , but wouldent grow down in to the root riot cube, the seeds died off

Well there's no root on the second one so putting in the DWC now means it won't grow, doesn't it?
Of course it will grow.
When I did DWC I planted as soon as it sprouted and manually fed from the top several times a day until the roots hit the res.

Using nutes in the res and top feed, or just the res to begin with?

Sorry for so many questions, it's just that there's so much conflicting information out there it's hard to pin down anything consistent.

You have to top feed regularly until the roots reach the res.......keep the hydroton wet. Some people raise the res level so it's up into the hydroton just below the rooter.........just remember to run your airstone at all times.
That's the nice thing about Waterfarms.........they have a drip ring that automatically feeds from the top.
I don't mind questions.

Could a mod move this to a diary forum?

I have 2x240W QBs but only using one at the moment at about 9518 lux at 38 inches away from plants. The dimmer is probably 70-75% atm.

Room temp: 77.6 approx
RH: 80.3 (dome over plants atm to keep humidity up)

Is this too little/much light/distance?
