Will this cool my room?

If I buy this and hook a duct going out of my grow room how much would it help wiith temp if my grow room is 100 degrees?

My grow room isnt 100 but im buying another 400w hps along with the one i already have and im pretty sure theheat is going to bump up.

so let me know what you think.

i have tried the 6" and hardly moves any air at all. figure that 400 will raise your temp about 20 degrees F without enough ventilation.

how big is your grow room?

I'm not really sure but I could gues 10 ft tall 4 feet wide and 6ft long. my plant is 9ft tall so i need the other light

I have a 8" booster fan pulling the heat from my 2 1000w lights and blowing it into an a/c cooled room. my temps stay around 77-85. Best bet would be an air cooled hood bro. BUT using the inline plus some ducting would HELP your situation.

10x4x6 is 240cfm and when heat is an issue, your going to want to exchange the air at least 3 times a minute. so a 720cfm fan would be nice. do you have any ventilation now?

if you get a ventalated hood for the light or a cool tube, you can go with a smaller exhaust fan. i have almost the same size room and this is what i use. its a stanley blower i rigged up to 6" ducting. or google inline fan like vortex is one brand. you were looking at an inline booster fan and you really want an inline fan.

I have ac going in the room from another room conected by a duct and i have one small fan about 4in and one big fan around 12in

What is I get the 240 cfm 6in exhaust and put it in the top of the room by the light and duct it out of the room. then put my ac duct at the bottom of the room on the floor? with two fans blowing as well?

the a/c will help but only when its on. i would get a higher cfm fan, but if thats whats in your budget for now. you still may need an air cooled hood.
what fan are you looking at getting?

go with the 600w. air cooled hood. i wish i had the 600w. sometimes i need to run 2- 400w but that is what i have for ballasts already and cant upgrade right now.

that blower i use is only 310 cfm on high speed. i thought it was higher.

oh okay so I get the 600 watt hps and what fan do I get off ebay less then 30 bucks to cool my room? I'm running low on money lol

To maintain my grow room's perfect temps and RH%, it has required the off and on use of an a/c unit, 6 box fans and 2 8" in-lines but it was SO worth it!

idk about 30 bucks for a fan. my stanly blower would work if you can modify it like i did. i paid like 30 bucks but they are more money now for a new one.

i said get the 600 assuming you were still getting a good fan.

hopefully someone will stop in with a link to a good deal on a fan. that 600 will be useless if you cant control the temp. i am not sure as to the minimum size fan needed to cool a 600.
