i have a 3 week old plant and a week ago i switched the lights from a 150 watt uva light to a 150 watt cfl light but it grew more with the uva light .... it dosent seem to be growing at all i know i need more cfls the question is how many do i need for one plant, also would it hurt to use both the cfl as well as the uva..... and the last question is about how much money is this gonna add to my bill

CFL's are low in power and do not consume enough to be worried about.

And as for lights, well the more the merrier, get a few more CFL's and I am sure leaving your UVA lgith on at the same time would help as well...:weed:

do you have a CFL that is 150 watt ? Or do you have a 40 watt CFL that is like having 150 Watts ? Go to the local hardware and buy the biggest CFL they have which is probably $20 or go and buy the $20 150 watt HPS light that we keep talking about on this forum. You probably need more light.

I know Wal-mart has the CFL's that are equivalent of 200 watts...but just like la9 said Hps would be better...

this is gonna sound really bad but what does hps stand for ...what will it say on the lable and if i were to only get one hps to do all the work how big would it need to be in watts... keep in mind i only have one plant .... by the way thanx alot guys for your help i have used every bit of advice ive got from here it sucks being a nube but it will be nice when i can start giving advice ....

HPS= High Pressure Sodium

oh maybe I should answer the other question as well...again the more light the better...I am sure you would be fine with a 150 watt just make sure the plant(s) stay cool....
