Will smell increase a lot during first few days of flower????

Just a quick question. Thinking about switching my 5 plants over to 12/12 tomorrow, but also leaving for the weekend. The smell right now isnt bad at all. Will their smell increase noticeable in flower within 3 days? i cant imagine it would but 1st grow here so idk at all. just dont want to come back to some pissed off roomies. i might go whip up a DIY carbon filter in the am if i have to. or either way too

thanks

I've only grown white widow and they stank alot during flowering but maybe you should not 12/12 til you come back. In any event, you are only talking 3 days. Not much will happen in that time. Flowering stinky stank generally takes a long time. No matter what strain you are growing nothing gonna happen in 3 days.

Good Luck Bro !

Flowering brings the onset of a more substantial odor, haha. Just be sure to assemble a filter, especially as the growth progresses.

You'll be fine. I seriously doubt the switch to 12/12 will even be noticeable after just a weekend. One month in however....if you're doing it right and have stinky strain...lookout! I remember my first grow was some Cali-O back in the day. I had no plan in place as to how to deal with the smell and a roommate who wasn't particularly down with ganja. Let's just say it got tricky quick and a lot of incense was burnt :)

the plants won't really start to smell much for a couple of weeks into flower as usually the first two weeks of so isn't much flowering going on.. its more of the stretch phase of the plant, and unless she is stinky in veg, she shouldn't get too stinky in the first week or two of flower either..

Good point, I've had plants that started stinking bad enough i could smell them just walking past the grow room door at 3-4 weeks of veg and ive had plants that didnt start to stink till about 2 weeks from harvest. Well, technically plant, because that one was also a very quick growing plant as well i had taken about 30 clones from it. In my experience its also somewhat plant specific, I've had plants of the same strain show a pretty big difference in smell.
