Will she recover?

Was alittle rough with some LST i was doing and snapped a top off of mine and am wondering if you guys think she will recover.

I used some tap i had to try and reattach the top to the stem, dunno though it looked pretty bad....

Under the duct tape is a break, the stem just broke in half there were a few fibers holding it together so i did my best to tape the pieces together.

And if she is going to be ok about how long will she take to recover?

I would say it will, but recovery may be slow(7-10 days) and you will probably see some die-back of the leaves. No great loss either way as the plant appears healthy overall.

i'd turn the top into a clone. you shoulda put something between the stem and tape like gauze or something. it'll probally heal fine as long as it doesnt get infected

3 or 4 days and that break will be fixed, OR u can cut off that part? either way like he said ^^^^^ it is very healthy so whatever u do , its no big deal. GOOD LUCK

If it snapped off completely then either clone it or throw it. Those 2 new growths on that branch will become mains and the end result will be better.

It was pretty small, was one of the tops with new growth so i just stuck it in the pot of soil i had and never know maybe it will grow, its like you said the original plant will prolly do better now

Yeah it snapped off on the stem not just the top, so i lost the whole top of the stem, the top and both new growths

like blaze said, dont sweat it bro.. seriously.. you essentially just topped it.. nothing bad or that she cant handle...

ive heat stressed, water temp stressed, dropped my lights on, and nute burned (not my fault... pump failure) my two largest girls and they are beautiful and thriving.. in fact the largest plant i had almost completely died from the nute burn.. she dropped about 90% or more of all her leaves.. and now she is back in full force.. just show her some love and tlc and she'll show it right back bongsmilie

Thanks man, already today there are signs of improvement, the two tops near it have already started taking over that part of the stem. Thanks everyone for the replies and help. :weed::weed:

If u have plenty of veg time, that break will just help u to have more bud sites anyways :weed: So yea everyone is right dont sweat it no big deal..........and i am with blaze . I wanna see in a couple days too! bongsmilie

Alright here are a few pics of the little girl. She is on the right of the bigger one. The tops are already about 2 inches above where it broke. Thanks everyone for the help :weed:

I will get some of just the broken top in a little while

This just happened to me this morning. I was trying to LST and the top broke when I got a little over zealous.

I put on some athletic tape to try to get it back together. But I am worried I am about 3 days into 12/12. If I just top it and close the part that cut off should it have time to recoup?

I really understand why you want a couple weeks before 12/12 before you start to mess with the plant, so that way it is not so scary.

This is my first time, but it has been going pretty well so far, I am trying to post some picks. The one in question is a New York Diesel. It vegged for about 24 days and is on day 28 now. It is about 10 inches tall. All fox farm soil/worm casings, with fox farm nutes.

thats an indaca, looks like afgani to me ? the big one is more of a sativa. They look a lil dry in those pics.... when the leaves start doing that curling upward shit , then it is makin a "cup" out of the leaves to absorb ANY water it can find...... When you water make sure and get the whole pot wet (not just the top) and an ideal plant will drink all that bone dry in 3 days............maybe a lil more for the big one an a lil less for the lil one...... bongsmilie

Nah they just did that because i took them out into the direct sunlight and it got to 105 degrees outside, thats a little extreme to them since they are used to 70-75 degree temps. It seems whenever i put them outside they reach up like that, i just watered them yesterday and the soil is still damp so i dont think they are thirsty, but the big girl is a thirsty bitch sometimes
