Will seeds mature after harvest?

Hi Guys
So it's getting pretty cold here, and the seeds still need a couple of weeks to mature. Question is - could i cut of a pollinated branch and finish it of in a window indoor in a glass of water or something like that?

Looking forward to hear if this would work.

seeds will usually get done when the bud drys so that whatever is in the seed sacks can dry and form a seed. Unless you are a couple weeks from the plant being done i’d just leave it outside as long as the temp stays above 35 degrees. the part you chop off won’t live in water like you want it to. Oh and to add on the seeds if the plant is around done some of the seeds will be done before you let if dry. Hope i was helpful

leave it as long as you can. seeds need to mature on a live plant. if you pick them early then they probably wont be viable seeds.

Thanks guys - that was very helpful to me. I'll leave it for as long as possible and hang the whole plant indoor to slow dry and hopefully the seeds will all slowly ripen on the hanging plant.

Thanks again!
