Will New York finally do it?

Is the 3rd time the charm? New York has a knack for screwing things up, routinely at the last minute. What's the opinion, will they cross the finish line this time and be the 15th state?

I wonder what would be the amount you can have ? Seems like they haven't set a limit yet. Finally NY can get a win.

I think that's a good question.
And .005 cents per milligram tax is $5 per gram. Check me on that. And a 13% sales tax. So I guess you have almost $5.65 per gram in taxes. Add in profit and NY will not have cheap weed.
So yeh, grow it, and get expunged if caught. You know thousands of people are growing this summer in NY. Thousands. New Jersey and now NY. Soon the whole east coast except those really backwards states like South Carolina. Is too late to allow them to secede?

For flower: @20%THC
1g has 200mg THC
200mgx $0.005 = $1 per g

Cuomo signs recreational marijuana bill into law
Cuomo announced the measure on Twitter, which also creates expungement of previous marijuana convictions that would be legal.

The move makes New York the 15th state to legalize recreational marijuana. Neighboring state New Jersey legalized recreational marijuana in late February.

“This is a historic day,” Cuomo tweeted. “I thank the [Senate Majority Leader Andrea Stewart- Cousins (D)] and Speaker [Carl E. Heastie (D)] and the tireless advocacy of so many.”

The bill allows residents over the age of 21 to have up to 3 ounces of cannabis and 24 ounces of cannabis concentrate to be outside the home. It also allows residents to keep up to three mature and three immature cannabis plants at home.

So if I grow this summer and get charged.
Will my record be expunged when home grow goes legal?
I would also want my fines back of course.
I don't think you get your money back, but it would be expunged. You can grow without issue though - there's no more probable cause to enter residences since marijuana is legal and it can be smoked in private and public places. The smell alone wouldn't be enough, so just keep it out of sight (no outdoor grows in your yard for now).
