Hey people

First time grower

Ok so I planted these 20 cheese seeds I got from Buddha seeds around 2 weeks ago

I popped them using a wet paper towel
And once they popped I put them into jiffy’s and put them into my plastic clone house (not sure what it’s called lol) and have them 3 foot under a T5 light, temperature has 24-25c constantly and humidity between 46-51
Am I doing everything as I should they just don’t seem very healthy to me
Any feedback would be great

Clone dome is a fairly common term for what you are referring to , it says pictures in the thread but I can't see anything? Your humidity could be a little higher seedlings like it warm and damp for the first couple weeks from my experiences.

Also ( let me make sure I read this correctly) you have them 3 feet from the light ? I keep mine about 8 inches away with no problems , is their any reflective surface for the light to bounce off of ? Also how long is the T5 and how big is the growing area ?

Yeah 51 is the highest it goes up to
Iv bein spraying inside it about 4 times a day is there anything else I can do to bring it up?

Do you really need the dome?
I never use one for seeds and three feet with a t5 sounds pretty high.

I would work on hardening them off
And lowering the light a bit each day before they stretch

Im assuming they are already above ground

Yeah I was told to keep the t5 3 foot from the top of the clone dome because I was told they need very little light at this stage it’s a 2 foot long 2 bulb t5 and is in a 4x4 tent

Well now you've been told to lose the dome and lower it.
Decisions, decisions.

I don’t really know if I need the dome but I am just going by the advice of an experienced grower I know... but I’m just starting to panic a bit because they are not really looking great, any tips on how to upload pictures?

You don't want to use a dome for seedlings. You'll keep them too wet and invite dampening off. You need to get that light closer to stop them from stretching so much as well.

Ok cheers
So how close would you recommend to put the light away from them? But wouldn’t there be very little humidity around them if they were not in the dome?

Whoever told you that doesn't know what they're talking about. Same person that told you to use a dome for seedlings? You can see what the result of very little light is. You wouldn't have to support them if you had the light closer and they hadn't had to stretch so much trying to get to the light.

If you can get the light closer and swap it for and LED for now ( Amazon has cheap ones that will do the job If you are on a budget ) the plants should bounce back I did the same thing on one of my first grows and had really long weak stems but they bounced back fine after I lowered the light.

Yeah, it don't look good.
Don't listen to that guy anymore. Lol

You can make the adjustments we recommended and when you plant them plant them deep to hide some of that stem

I wouldn't worry about the humidity. Your not cloning.
Here is a picture of some seedlings I have going right now. 4 ft four bulb T5 with HO 54 watt bulbs inside a 2 x 4 x 5 tent. Light is about six inches from the top of the plants. Plants are shorter than your seedlings and have a couple sets of true leaves. Get that light closer but I would move it down to about a foot away for awhile and then lower it more. Those spindly stems could shrivel up. They need time to strengthen up.

And don't keep them so wet. A couple look like they're not going to make it but most should turn out okay. Like has already been said. When you put them into larger containers you'll want to bury them really deep to cover the long stems.

Good luck. Hope it all works out.

Can't like your post ( guess because I'm new ) but good call on planting deep to hide some of the stem
