Will it really smell if..?

I'm planning on growing in my grow tent 120, fairly spacious and recommended to hold 4 full sized plants.

However I am planning on just growing the 2 this time round. I would just like to ask how likely there is to be a noticeable smell? I have a fan system also but would rather give this a miss as it does make a lot of noise.

if your worried about smell save yourself the worry and paranoia and get a carbon filter

Carbon filter for the win! I have a little filter on a 4inch inline fan and it scrubs a 6x6x8 room clean regardless of how much I try to stink it up.

Carbon filters are your best bet but theres some cheaper ways to make them, look at the DIY forums.

Yeah I have a fairly good carbon filter at hand too, but as I said I was against using it as the fan I have is rather noisy. Is it really necessary then for me to take these precautions as the smell from 2 plants will not go unnoticed?

Really depends, some strains stink more like weed than others and some smell more like the fruit they are named after rather than actual weed. What strain are you growing? besides your gonna want to run some sort of fan for circulation, exhaust, intake etc. there are cheap ways to reduce and eliminate smell such as odor absorbing gels or even ionizers that dont make any noise.

try getting a variable speed control for the fan. Kill the noise by 75%.

Well I was planning for a couple white widows.

Variable speed might be an investment, ill definitely take a look into that.
