Ya I agree. I like to start with lower expectations, and be happy if it turns out better than I hoped. My first round yielded a pound and a half indoors under 2 315 cmh light, and he's outside so the light is even better. But a lot can go wrong still, especially outdoors with bugs and stuff so I just don't like to get my hopes up too high.

For reference, the trellis panels are 6' tall.

about a pound plus or minus about 454 grams.......

If thats a rule I would have quit growing. I think light source, veg time, strain and the grower have a lot to do with it. I have pulled some ridiculous numbers out of 5 gallon, like 3.2 pounds and then I went to 10 gallon and got even more in the same footprint, over 4 pounds. Then I went to more buckets/plants in the same footprint and this run looks like it's going to do just as good but I don't have to water a plant every 16 hours lol.

Who, other than someone who has never grown before, uses a 5 gallon bucket and only fills it not quite half full of soil?

And to top it off they didn't drill side holes for runoff.

Do you understand of rule of thumb means? It means a rough way of measurement.

Theres exceptions to everything an sure some people are going to yield much more than others. You even called 3.2 lbs a ridiculous number for a 5 gal. I have a pretty hard time believing 3.2 lbs for 5 gal of soil but whatever.


Keep in mind numbers for people asking what they will yield are going to fall into a average range that's going to be differant from people who dont have to ask

This is an excellent point!

For the size that they are, I would say 1.75 to 2.5 of nicely trimmed zips per plant, or (12 1/4 to 17 1/2 zips) combined.

I’d say it depends on the grower . If treated right and cared for . Sky is the limit. I’ve seen an auto grown on here dwc yield a pound .

Rule of thumb for average grower, 1 ounce of weed per gallon soil, though i pull 3x time that unless auto's are used
