Will I ever get a harvest?

This is my first grow and I'm tired of it and I want to start on my 2nd one. It's been on 12 hour lights since halloween. I lost all my fan leaves because aphids attacked while I was sick in the hospital, and also I think did the nutes wrong a few times.

None of my trichomes are amber yet. Most of them aren't even very cloudy. How much longer?

I would harvest when there are mostly red/amber hairs. Hopefully the trichomes will have turned as well by then. By the way, this is why I prefer indicas, shorter flowering times.

Thank you! I'll chop this week. Enough is enough already.

BTW, it is Aurora Indica. Nirvana said 7-8 weeks flowering. I really don't know why I don't have amber trichs, but I have sampled the smoke, and I would say it does exactly what you want it to do.

:-P

its all about what you want from it Amelia..are you home for a wile or is this on going the hospital thing?

I tried to write back the other day but the riu website went nuts. I would start your other seeds and cut them when you need the space

If you have already tried the smoke and are happy with it then to hell with it chop chop. I am guessing that you quick dried it when you sampled it and if you dry it properly it will be more potent and better tasting then you remember.

Hey, for #2 don't use those clear containers, your roots aren't growing enough because the light is going thru that container. I'd chop and prepare for #2.

I didn't know that about the roots! Thanks!

I'm going to chop, sterilize the room (there are still aphids in there), wait a week and start on my next crop.

Hopefully, my hospital days are behind me for a while.

I just picked up a product that contains cedar sap which kills larve of aphids and gnats which grow in your soil eating your roots causing leafs to spot and brown out. its called GoGnats. Its working awesome. And please stay well.

although clear pots are only an issue if your light is close to the bottome braches where his light is is not an issue but...........

Another reason that its going so slow is that you removed a lot of your fan leaves. I understand you had a bad aphid problem, but fan leaves are the solar panels of the plant, so by removing them you made it go a bit slower. Nice size plant tho.

JoBO is also very right on that but thinking ahead he might though that he would be able to get rid of them by cutting them off?????

The fan leaves mostly just turned brown and fell off by themselves. I think I did the nutes wrong. I think my biggest problem was not giving them enough water so the salts were building up in the bottom of the pots. I finally figured it out and started dousing them good, but by then the damage was done.

So no bubble hash for me! I'll do better next time.

Here is a picture of my trichomes. It is very difficult to take a picture of trichomes. Anyway, do these look amber to you? They don't look amber to me!

I'll chop today, while everybody is gone.

hey man they look good. did you grow them under that 250 cfl the hole grow? and hope you feeling better buddy. i hate hospitals

Actually, when they were smaller, I used to put them out on the patio where they could get sunshine during the day. That's probably where the aphids came from.
