not if you drink enough fluoride water, eat lead paint, and spray chemtrails :)

j/k they are bad for your eyes just like staring into the sun. well, maybe not that bad....

my veg room is only 4 42w 5000k cfls and i wear sunglasses when ever i tend to my plants, so im sure an 1000w mh cant be good for your eyes

WEAR SUNGLASSES!

Any super bright lights aren't good for your eyes. This is why welders wear those shields with super tinted visors, and you wear those tiny goggles with super blacked out lenses when you go tanning (ive never been myself though  )

I would say if you grow on table trays with lights hanging at eye level or higher, wear sunglasses. You don't want to be looking into bulbs and possibly harming your retina.

Thats only enough light for like 1 well lit, or two poorly lit plants bro.

I vegged 2 plants with like 200w of CFL, then flowered two plants with 252w of CFL. I yielded like a 38g off the smaller plant.... That was barley enough light growing in a confined box lined to shit with mylar.

Last time I ever used CFLs too  not worth the hassle

the other day after sitting infront of my box for a little while, I could barely see four half an hour and when I could see better everything was the wrong color for another 15 min, IM GETTING SUN GLASSES haha I knew after that it couldn't be good

Thanks for the link. Even though they look like shit I'm probably going to order a pair. I've been growing about 4 years constant, and concerned about getting cataracts.
