Will flowering occur

Hey guys i had a question about changing light cycles for my little buddies pertaining to transplanting:blsmoke:... They are on a 20 hour veg and 4 hour dark schedule and about 8-12" and 5 weeks old, all very good growth and filling in with dense bushy leaves, but I would like to transplant them to a forest where there will be 17 hours of light although not all 17 hours are going to be direct because its highly dense woods, so for a good amount of time they will get good solar energy, will this cause them to flower? I know 12 hours is appropriate for flowering but, will this massive amount of light decreasing cause them to go into flowering? If so how big should they be before transplanting?:joint:

They won't flower any sooner but will not grow near as much in a dense forest setting. Outdoors plants go by the sun cycle, no matter if it is direct light or not. You have no control once they are outside unless you cover them with black bags to achieve a 12-12 light cycle. You would have to camp with them to do that. Not recommended, unless it is going to freeze before they are mature.
