will a 24 hour light period for veg bring males?

i have my sprouts on a 24/0. someone tells me this can bring males. another person tells me they need the dark period for this and that. ??

24hrs is fine

i disagree. while 24/0 does work, i have always noticed gains when the lights are off. every single living thing needs some time to rest. your plants are no different.

experiment with the two if you ever get a chance and decide for yourself.

Donny your out of ur element. No hes right. Less hours of light increases chances of females..its in the bible. plants need rest too. But if u started from just seed you might be okay until it sprouts from soil then maybe you should cut it to 16/8 or 18/6, whichever.

i have had them on 24/0 for about 8 days now. they are 8 days from seed. i should be alright switching it to 18/6 now right?

actually ill do a test. ive got about 7 little ones, so ill do 3 and 4, 4 will get 18/6 now and 3 will get 24/0.

that's the spirit. do your experiments and report back to the forum. i'd be interested to know what you discover. keep a log of height throughout the grow and final bud weight at the end.

24hrs will be fine, no herm from that, some say they grow faster with 24 some say they are happier in 18/6, but it diff not going to hurt them. I always use 24 with no problems.
