Why?

In vitro pinning is not that uncommon.

From RR.
That often happens when the inoculation/gas exchange holes are drilled too large. In addition, some strains simply want to pin at full colonization.

Light, is light.
If it is light then I believe I have a demonstrated rebuttal for tylerrrr. This jar was not kept in the dark unlike other jars that did not begin to fruit. On another thread tylerrrr had said that I was incorrect in thinking that the jars would pin if they were not kept in the dark. So, if it is not air holes that are too large, it must be light.

Dude, you can hear in your moms stomach and see light..should be no light before birth..if it is you can compensate id imagine..

Sorry, what I was saying was light can penetrate...keep that light away till the birth of the cakes,as tylerrr said, pinning at that stage happens easily...forgive my earlier rambling..I had a low dose of molly and a bowl...

Perhaps you were a little late birthing the jars and/or had a light leak...the air flow isn't a trigger for fruiting from my understanding...

Light, is light.
i usually take note of just about everything you say lol... but ive ran jars in light and never had an issue. but i have had shrooms growing in a jar before, too much FAE i think, this is just from my experience... and with only one jar, could of been many variables

I have seen too many incidences of light triggers. In fact I thought I had a grow in complete darkness but the blue bin was too close to a sliver of light and the containers in that bin, that were close enough to that window all fruited early where the rest in that bin, and the ones in the other bins that were not a thin blue plastic did not either. I have shown small lights upon certain regions of grow bags - where there was no fresh air and seen fruit grow just on the places I flashed the light. I used light to my advantage in my pinning strategies. Light is a significant trigger.

if I'm correct(and usually not)..any fruiting body will contain psilocin.....or the mycellium..philosopher stones and eggs for breakfast!!!....nomnomnnom!

Don't take note of everything I say any more. I am officialy an old fart, set in his ways and believing (for the second time in his life) that I know everything - the first time was when I was 18, so that should give you an idea of how knowlegeable I really am.

Not only the fruiting bodies, but the mycelium as well, so long as the mycelium is aged enough TO fruit, it is psychoactive. I have taken cheeses (that is what they remind me of) of grain long covered with mycelium - the grain tends to shrink as the mycelium draws liquid and nutrition from the grain and also fills out so that there might be as much as 25 or 30 percent mycelium in the jar relative to grain - that's a lot - and it does look like a cheese embedded with depleated grain. In fact it is amazing that so much mycelium will grow around the grain, it is in no way similar to the early colonization where each kernel of grain is only slightly surrounded by mycelium. Anyway, the mycelium itself will bruise blue. If you take a chunk of this stuff and dry it, grind it up and make a tea out of it and you will get quite high.
