I take plants inside and out all the time. It's totally fine to do if you have a good preventative maintenance strategy for pests.
Why would I not take my girls outside in nice weather

Why risk it?
It was a 20 gallon pot with the mesh covering most of it but gaps on the sides. Mice can't climb the sides of pot, which is why we use similar pots for strawberries. In early spring if it is dry the birds like the sprouts of whatever they can find here. I used to sprout my cannabis seedings in a bed outdoors, thus discovering the bird issue. Also had mice attack 6 inch seedlings on the ground. They just chop it off and leave it!

well, why would you ask if you’re already convinced?…. Anyway, seedlings need a steady mild upbringing or you can change stability… if this was an adult plant, I wouldn’t have a concern. Do what you want brother who cares what people think

It is ok to bring plants outside and back inside. I just spray them down with zymes before I bring them in. Make sure plants are mature enough to handle a spray (no seedlings). You are going to have to harden these plants off before planting them. Dependent on your latitude, but I don't put clones out until june 1st. Now if I start seeds in april outside they will be fine as they wont reach sexual maturity fast enough to go straight into flower. Also daylight hours will be increasing keeping them in veg. At some point you are going to want to match your light schedule close to daylight hours right before you let them outside full time. Hope this helps....good luck!!!

Some people say not to but I've been taking plants outside to get real sun on nice days for years. In fact the only place I've heard not to do it has been on cannabis forums. But I hear all kinds of stuff that you're not supposed to do that I've been doing without any issues at all. In the spring when I start plants indoors I take them outside whenever it's nice and sunny. I do it with both cannabis and vegetable starts. Sunlight is better than grow lights so why not use it when you can?

yeah I got kind of worried recently when I thought about how I’m running 18 hours a light in the cabinet, and when I take them outside around 1 April or so, the lights not going to be so different that
be that as that may make them try to flower. So I would appreciate some feedback on if I slowly cut back time on my little cabinet set up, will that affect them? Perhaps something like that, it’s on 18 hours now.
I think that if I cut back gradually by about five minutes a day for a couple weeks, as the time gets a little shorter in my cabinet, and it stays lighter longer outdoors, within 2 to 3 weeks we should be able to meet somewhere in the middle and merge into relatively similar light dark time.

Well I think that my brain was actually worried about was going from artificial light to natural light. My grow last year didn’t start until well into the summer and it was hot as hell and I just threw them in a pot and this is what I have below, a few pictures of my grow last year, three small plants behind some bushes in the backyard.
It’s not so much I care what people think, it’s just that you trust but verify. I trust myself and feel confident in my decisions, but this early on getting some verification never hurts.
The first year I purchased seeds from Amsterdam I put my skunks and Afghans out on April 15th. Two weeks later they were flowering. Plants were stunted pretty bad. They went back in to vegetation but yield was cut by more than half compared to following years same Strains. I want to see you succeed but you are doing more harm than good. Here is my suggestion. Put them out April and start some more and then put them out in the end of May or early June.
I looked up the sunrise and sunset time for March 31st. I used the outer banks as an address. Each day you gain 2 minutes an some seconds. March 31 you will have 12 hours and 33 minutes between sunrise and sunset. This will happen until June 21st the longest day of the year.

I've lived on the Outer Banks a couple of times when I was a young man. I love that place. I was thrown out of Nags Head and haven't been back since.

As a science teacher I can tell you that until the summer solstice the sun will rise two minutes earlier every day and set two minutes earlier every day after the summer solstice because he dropped down by two minutes today and then becomes even shorter during the fall to a difference in one minute per day.

It's fine if you have supplemental lighting, to compensate for the short days. Generally keep the lighting as close the the hrs your going to introduce them to outside. 15-16 hrs on seems to work best for me

Hey man i used too take my little plant outside everyday too soak up the sunshine and get fresh air and than a squirrel attacked my plant when i was not looking so my 2 cents if you take them outside stay with them dont leave them alone because mother nature is a B....

I do this every year, I also get aphid and spidermite infestations every year. I think it's definitely worth doing it considering saved electricity and massive yield every time but your gonna get fox tails and sometimes they're in and out of flower so much I think t5 light was worse than led about this. I would bring them back inside before sunset. 19/5 and the plants still trying to flower, I think the change in light intensity had something to do with it.
