Hello,
I wasnt sure exactly what section to post this thread, but i guess it is 'a problem' still.

i have 2 Onyx growing, they are the Autoflowering monster by Stitch. Both plants ARE confirmed female from a few small pistils. No sign of hermaphorditism either. HOWEVER, theyve been the same small pistils in 2 weeks, little to no development/maturing it seems. They are both about 30-34 inches high in 2GAL pots, under 18/6 light schedule, under 400w HPS, in a perlite/coco/soil mix(that has worked wonders in the past, same mix). Neither plant shows sign of ill-health. No yellowing leaves, discoloration, droppiness, burnt edges, etc.

They are about day 56. As comparison, I planted 2 Himaylayin blue diesel(autoflowering) seeds as well at the same time, both were female, and will be ready to chop in about a week. I will post pics later.

Anyone experience a non-autoflowering pheno, or a very slllowww growing phenotype out of this genetic line? I would expect that these will yield no less than 1oz dry(givin they flower at all lol :P) the tallest and bushiest autoflowering strain ive grown to date. In a 5 gallon pot, this strain would likely easily reach 4-5ft in height.

Wait, he said an auto flower and those are supposed to flower no matter what the light schedule is, right?
Maybe they sent you the wrong one.

Yes, they are supposed to be autoflowering! it is Onyx from Short Stuff.

I will try a 12/12 light schedule to see if (perhaps) i may have gotten non-autoflowering seeds in my batch perhaps?

This picture is hard to see (blackberry) the pistils but they ARE confirmed females. Also the pictures do no justice because i have them all in my deep freeze hiding for the day, as my landlord is coming to replace several power outlets throughout the apartment so i had to completely shut everything down for today and tidy up.

The problem is the pistils that it has havent developed in 2 weeks. and the plant shows no signs of ill health. Its just like they taking there sweet little time!! in comparison, the 2 little HBD autoflowers infront of the Onyx were planted at the same time, and they are only a week tops from harvest. hmmmmm

plants look good too
maybe this will push you to try a normal strain (non autoflower)

not that autoflowers are bad, just seem to be the choice for newer growers

you seem to be doing well so maybe step up to a strain where wont have to have this problem since you know what you are doing... good luck in the budding though... maybe some autoflowers just take a lot longer than others?

it might just be the strain..never heard of it..tho the blue deisel ive heard of..they flower 3-4 weeks on their own each time.but if its a true autoflowering strain i would not switch to 12/12 being that if its auto..it will do it on its own,no matter what cycle.putting it 12/12 now instead of the day it started flowering might make it turn hermie...to much stress..id be patient and wait for nature to take its course
