Foot in mouth head up asshole ...... difficult to dance around this one
til you pull it out.

First off im personally not creating a culture.... 2nd im not apart of this white boy acting black culture.

All im trying to say is stop hating on the people being who they want to be. So put your shotgun and your beer down and chill out. smoke a blunt

you got me all wrong. no one more liberal than i am when it comes to freedom of expression and ones right to express his individuality.....that said the whole hip hop thing as far as what i've seen has nothing to do wit individuality or expression.....just a buncha clueless wannabees all doin the saaaaaaaaame thing. trying to be something you're not and if anyone expresses his or her take on your "culture" we're labled shotgun totin, beer drinkin, racists. lol, yuuuuuup, you got me pegged dawwwwwwwg.

Immortal technique - Dance with the devil..

Everyone trying to be trife never face the consequences

You probably only did a month for minor offences
Ask a nigga doing life if he had another chance
But then again there's always the wicked at new and advanced
Dance forever with the devil on a cold cell block
But thats what happens when you rape, murder and sell rock
Devils used to be gods, angels that fell from the top
There's no diversity because we're burning in the melting pot

Just FYI they're not talking black they're talking like they're in the hood which might be where they're from. White kids can be as thug as anyone else if they're really from the ghetto(most aren't but theirs always those few). Also I talk somewhat like that...I talk normal around most people until I get high then I talk like I never got passed 5th grade LOL Its not being a poser to change up speech. Imagine talking like that in front of a rich white guy who would obviously think you're fucking retarded...you'd try your hardest to talk normal. But around your homies who know you aren't stupid you can speak freely.

SUPER EDIT: The guy that started this thread asked a question then won't accept the answers that disagree with him? fuck this thread is gay I read it and its like wtf man...saying hip-hop is not a culture?!?! fuck that idk if some white guy talks like tupac if thats how he really is I don't give a fuck! It's about being REAL if he is really hood then fine the only problem is with the FAKE white guys that aren't hood at all and they try to ACT like it.

To the OP. All you gotta do is what I do. Viciously attack/make fun of said wannabees behind their backs. I'm not ghetto, but I can tell fairly accurately where your history lies. Whether you were weaned on the teet of suburban parenting or got rough on the streets. I am totally fine with people "being who they are" but its when people want to be something they're OBVIOUSLY not, that's just dumb.

ok heres the deal and first let me say i'm not posting to offend anyone just trying to figure it out. Why do white kids walk around these days doing everything in their power to project "i'm black" ???? from the way they dress, talk, music they listen too etc, etc, etc. i was in the county slammer a while back and i could not believe what i saw. i mean lilly white white guys doin their damned best to come off black. when talking to a c.o or another caucasion their speech is normal, as they were taught and raised. put em in a group of other wannabees or god forbid a group of black guys and BAM !!!! It's "aiiiiight", "my duuuude"....they drop their vowels, slur their words, take on a different posture etc, etc, etc. I mean WTF ????? do they realize how ignorant they come off ????? not saying they are, just come off thay way. when i ask the brothers what they thought of it i usually got an eye roll and a laugh. seems they're at a loss to explain also. so i'm askin one of you out there why you do it. i know you're out there because its all over the "new posts" section today. so...... "yo playa, lemme holla at ya,what be the 411 on the wanaabeness". and is there something wrong with looking, speaking and acting what you are as opposed to what you wish you were ????
i have a few different takes on this......first off.....saying someone is acting black and then calling them ignorant for acting black is ignorant....what you need to understand is that they are copying a hip hop or street movement slang......its not just white kids who take on this personafication.....it is in all races from latin to asian to arab....second...i grew up around oakland ca....alot of the so caled black slang you are refering to was taken on as a way to talk on the turf without others catching on...its part of the hustle...this is where ebonics came from...so growing up in an urban setting and living a street lifestyle you will pick up the mannerisms of those around you....now........as for the kids growing up in lily white suburban communities calling each other niggas and selling dope and doing a bunch of gangster shit for a rep is not where its at....i grew up with people who did dirt because thats how money is made in certain areas of the world....it was neccesity not for fun......i will never look down on anyone who came from nothing and had to do a little gangster shit to get out....but im not cool with the kid driving around in daddys car on 24" rims talkin bout what a pimped out straight hustla he is and all the money he be making on the streets...........this isnt a black white thing......its a street culture thing......hell even kid rock( the original early morning stoned pimp) used to sport a high top fade and wear his pants hanging off his ass and was saying nigga and bloood and yo holmes....:hump:

I love all of the Malibu's Most Wanted white kids out there and everybody that lives that thug lifestyle. Why? Because these people ensure I have a job. People that live the "thug" lifestyle take on the image and speech no matter what color their skin. I never see these people working in higher corporate positions though, in fact it would shock me. Most corporations, like mine, have restrictions on appearance, tattoo places, and even hair length. That's life, love it or leave it!:peace:

Heh, my boss is Chairman of the Board of a very large company, makes on average 32-33m a year and he always says "Wa'sup cracka!" every time I see him, I love his character... even though he's playing something he'd never be.

I understand where you are coming from. Me personally, I love rap... not soljaboy type shit... anyways, Rap and R&B are my main choices. At the same time I like pretty much anything but country. I am white. I have a cadillac w/ 22" rims, 15" speakers and so on but does that mean im "acting black"? Why cant it be a preference of what I actually like? Ok so I dont walk around saying yo playa lemme holla at ya and all that but i do have a texas (southern) slang to my voice. I grew up listening to pretty much all types of music as my parents listened to a wide variety of music. The first rap I heard was from what my dad was listening to.

I have seen plenty of the white boys you are talking about and I agree, some are just rediculous but I also believe that you should be able to talk, walk, dress and act however you feel. And how are white people supposed to act anyways? The stereo type of a white person can also be classified as rediculous.

hmmm racial convo, exactly how does urban translate to black? I grew up in some of the most gutter of places, i was taught to speak with respect and proper diction, though i still dress the same as everyone i grew up with, i still act act the same as i did then would that make me a wannabe, seeing as im not black, in fact i look pretty white by common standards(arabic/German mix) im also a hip hop producer/emcee, my choice of music, my dress and wording does not make me a wannabe, if i were to walk around throwing racial epithets and talking about crimes i would do or have done, would still not make me a wannabe(it would make me an idiot) these "wannabes" you describe seem to be the product of a sheltered life where they see the thing that their parents hate the most, or even fear and they copy it, rebelious in nature as each new generation is. I say live and let live, it has no direct impact on you so you may as well accept it and stop complaining.....as a side note i don't condone the idiotic presentations of non urban youths pretending they grew up poor and talking about giving back to their "peoples in the ghettos" seeing as most of them still lock their doors in my old neighborhoods.
