Yes and no- your question is a trick question so its hard to answer but...
MMJ states predate 2009 and since 2009 their has not been any law to legalize or end prohibition, so it is every bit as illegal in 2011 as it was in 2008

Its nice to have a scapegoat tho, it makes you forget the fact your still running a big deficit and without continual borrowing you won't be able to service the debts you already have. Instead of playing golf, maybe Obama should be working night and day to try convince both parties to "trim the fat" off the budget? I personally believe he is too inept for the job tho. We can agree to disagree if oh feel so strongly, but I presented facts before the last paragraph so draw your own conclusions.

I disagree with you on two points:

1. Americans were indeed demanding blood in the aftermath of 9-11, but that was mostly limited to a strike on Afghanistan. There was not universal support for invasion of Iraq.

2. I don't think you can lay blame for the housing bubble entirely at the president's feet. He was complicit to be sure, but the majority of blame has to go to Congress in their "making housing affordable act" (that's a paraphrase because I don't recall the exact name of the act). The effect of the law was that it forced financial institutions to make stupid loans. The financial institutions played along because FANNIE/FREDDIE bought up all the stupid loans, hence the commercial banks made tons of money on transaction fees and took on very little risk. The second effect was that a great tidal wave of money washed over the real estate market with the predictable effect of driving up prices to ludicrous levels. The bubble popped and we are still waiting for home prices to hit a rational level.

We are now in the middle of the great transfer of wealth from savers to borrowers, i.e. from mom and pop to Wall street speculators. This is quite simply a function of the interest rate paid to savers, it is a negative rate in real terms (nominal rate - inflation).

The Republicans and Democrats are working this scam as a team just as they have done for the last thirty or so years. Republicans are loathsome and Democrats are despicable. I know the vocal folks on this thread want to lay off the blame on only one side, but it truly is a R/D team effort.

That is why I like Ron Paul. He has an R after his name, but he ain't no Republican, he is neither loathsome nor despicable.

I did manage to buy a house and still haven't lost it. I talk a lot but I really just consider the GOP to be the evil of two lessers.

If not, I have 3 facts by which to form an opinion. What facts do you have to support a contrary opinion? I really don't care that he is "going after" dispensaries, I would rather have the means of production than the "freedom" to buy a commercial product.

Read back man, I specifically stated that the economic crash caused by the housing bubble was not the Presidents fault, I'll admit he probably wasnt vaguely intelligent enough for the job, but Obama saying it was all Bush's fault is completely misleading and dishonest aswell.

Ok I also souldn't have lumped the Iraq war in aswell under universal support, but there was a majority in favour of getting Sadam and his imaginary "45min launch capable WMD's" (and in a representative democracy the mob rules sadly).

After the state of the union, I find myself no longer just disliking Obama, but actually hating him.

The arrogance in the way he spoke and how he directed all negativity to his left clearly shows that he is the reason for division in congress.

I sent my fart to vote for Obama. Quite frankly, as with masturbation, I have found voting to be useless. But oh well, like masturbation, you can't make the entire public stop voting. Too fucking bad too. Voting only provokes the government to pull the wool over our eyes in all parts of life. Zombies vote.
