Why Order seeds when you can get clones?

So I'm curious why do people deal with finding reputable sites to order seeds from when they can just clone the hell out of their female plant?

I've got my first clone plant off craigslist for guy who sells them for $10. It was guranteed to be female which it is. Is ordering seeds much cheaper?
Another problem with seeds is, you never know what you are going to get.
I'm sure I'm missing something here? Thoughts?

some people want a certain strain..(one they know is the bomb shit!)..and then usually they clone those

you went off craigslist? whats to say that he wasn't a cop or a sting operation? most of us buy seeds off the internet to try new exotic strains of weed. those clones had to start somewhere

Noone. Its just like buying weed off untrustable source in the back off the alley. who's to say that that wasn't under cover cop. you just have to do your research before you email the seller. Ask questions and hope for the best.

ya bro just my opinion, but i just wouldn't meet someone face to face for something like that that has been posted on the internet reason being that even if that guy is not a cop im sure that the police saw that post too and what they can do is wait outside of that dudes house and just follow u back to your house. just a lot of possibilities that could happen. I like sharing weed to my friends that they have never seen and stuff that i have never smoked b-fore.

but with that said if i had a friend that was growing some dank stuff i would take a clone in a heartbeat from him.
