the first grow i ever did i did in all miracle gro. During flowering i had to add a bit of fish meal, light N pellets to keep the leaves from yellowing early. I used two small doses of liquid shultz i Think 10-30-10 once at 2nd week of flower and again at 6 weeks of flower.
The plants took another month to finish. I used a shitty two bulb 40 watt shop light and two 60 watt cfls. Only prob is that with those lights it took almost 5 months to finish, granted i vegged for 6 weeks.
Out of 5 bag seeds i got 4 females and one was the strongest stinkiest plant, the others not as much. came out OK, the smoke was harsh even after curing. I did EVERY thing wrong, used un-pHed tap water, grew in water jugs so the roots were exposed to light, no timer so my light sched. was horrible even leaving them in dark or light for 24 hours on forgetfulness at least 5 times and this is what happened...
I don't notice a lot of difference in either FFOF or MG except I jus find the taste find the taste better with FFOF. I have afodite, kalishnikova, blue hash and emerald jack seedlings right now. Now i am going to put the afro and the kalash in MG the other two in FFOF and see what happens.
Is it me or does anyone find the taste of MG pot harsher? or ist just about not over doing water and nutes? Also does MG soil just plain have enough nutes to go all the way through the grow like in the book "8 oz. of bud for less than $100" by See More Buds? Or are Rosenthal and frank the authority? If not can some one suggest a GOOD book NOT having to do with mostly hydroponics like "The Cannabis Cultivator" does?
