Why no SSL/HTTPS on this site?

I tried to post this in the security section but no access. :-|

I work in the IT industry, and therefore i´m a bit paranoid regarding the internet. Thats why I found it a bit alarming that rollitup do not use encryption ( HTTPS ).

Right now all information (data) that we the users read, write, post is "clear text". In other words if the "evildoers" want to listen the channel is wide open.

It´s very easy to implement encryption (https) on websites, so why not ?

Uses the Rollitup profile
If you're an IT specialist, then you understand the processing required to set up and maintain the tunneling protocol. It would be a huge drain on our servers to do that, and our servers are overburdened already. If you are paranoid, then don't post any personal information.

well 'i will not call myself a specialist in communication , can´t be a specialist. I got friends and a hobby. ;) due to the fact that this site got alot of dynamic content the impact would be less. But I get your point, if the hardware are closed to the limit. hmmm.. do you think HP will sponsor us with a SSL proxy?
