Why no listing in "Recent Posts"?

Many times now I've posted in the art section about films and movies and I go to the recent posts page and see no listing ...how come admin...?
yet other posts in the more popular area as politics or toke an talk are constantly listed ...

how cum...?

because it isnt a recent post. it needs to be recent and have replies. the rest of the forum moves really quick
