That would happen in bc if they were selling to kids. I get meds from the BCCCS...the last time I was there (mid-July) the lady that filled my order told me that since the court ruling there have been approximately 40 dispensaries start up. I don't even remember the last time I heard about the BCCCS getting raided. The cops know that they actually provide a community service.

Big difference between Vancouver and Halifax.

there was a hydroponics shop recently busted right down the street from my house, about an hour outside of Halifax roughly a month ago.. the owners/workers were all MMAR patients and i knew they would sell to other MMAR patients. Apparently they were also selling to kids and word got out.

I knew that they also ran a dispensary in the city, i'm going to have to say this was tied together. These guys have been on the shit list for a bit if its the connection i think it is. Gottigen street is rough. tagged up with gang graffiti and drunks everywhere. this isn't really a place i would want to go medicate, i'd be afraid of getting shot lol.

and Nova Scotions are not up tight about weed at all. fuck man everybody smokes weed here. my girlfriend moved here from Ontario and was like holy fuck, this many people smoke up here? we basically consider it legal.. i mean i'm legal now lol, but you catch my drift. the problem is, other than the homicide rate in halifax/dartmouth, there isn't a very high crime rate here for the most part.. the cops are just looking for shit to do.

I never once said they were going anywhere. I just said they would get busted every now and then. Trumped up charges...what have you.
Doesn't mean they can't still operate after all's said and done

WAKE UP PEOPLE!!!

Hell there's enough cry babies out there, more than willing to call the police or whine to a city councillor just because the word pot is somewhere close(they refuse to see medical, until something happens to someone close to them ... then all of a sudden it's ok). Those are the ones that weren't popular or were bugged as kids in school cause they were fucking whiners then and they are bigger whiners now, some of those whiners actually hold some power(of course what little power they do have, goes to their heads anyways).

like the little tidbit my town is doing:
So there's a strip mall right, long ago a bar and grill moved in... the town rejoices (woot another place to drink and eat wings!!) then some stupid sylvan learning center moves into that strip mall... the town rejoices (woot our kids can get smarter, while we drink and eat wings!)
Then one year a head shop(smokers corner) moves into that same strip mall .... the town people FREAK!!!!! (god save the kids!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) yep those whiny fucking church groups that infiltrate the city/govt offices. now because they really can't do anything because it's already there but they now want bylaws making adult business go to a certain area of town only.... the thing is when you drive around the town you see a liquor store in every single strip mall (they rival the fast food places) and don't forget the bars in town. Seems those aren't deemed adult businesses, funny how poeplepick and choose because they like one thing yet "think" another is bad (I use the term think really loosely )

Plenty of dispensaries don't get raided, because they maintain good relations with their local government, police, etc. It's these shady, wink-wink-nudge-nudge shops that get raided. If you're defending that crap, you're defending those compromising the integrity of the system they operate under.

Not defending the crap....I mention BCCCS for a reason. I believe they are or are one of the longest serving cc in Vancouver. The fly by night shops are temporary situations as far as I'm concerned. The good ones will be the last ones standing.

I'm in the process of getting all info on starting one, it wont be a normal CC but it will be Vancouver based as any other lower mainland city just wouldn't go for it, actually shouldn't say that there is one city that I can't mention that the mayor said he personally is ok with it but no guarantee that the PoPo won't come knocking on the door as that is out of his hands

I'm not going to say mine will happen soon as I already had one person back out but I'm hoping sooner than later while the momentum is there. I have kids, family and a successful business but decided to take the risk for now.

Let me know where and I'll come visit next time I'm in Vancouver.
