Why is there a "SPAM" added to my PM's?

Every time I PM somone, the system adds "SPAM" before the title. I'm not sending spam and I suspect that is why I got unjustly canned a few months back for "spamming". Thankfully I was able to talk FDD into checking it out and he found out I was right. I have never in my life spammed anyone. WTF is up with this?

That's a good question, I've seen the "spam" tag in a few of my pm's

maybe they're confusing you with potpimp, from potpimp:lol:
 
Hmmmm... that might be true about the other potpimp. I have put links to products like ionic ball ozone generators but I don't sell them; I don't sell anything. Hopefully a mod will show up and can tell me. Fried Spam is really good; last time I ate that it was up in Seward, Alaska last February; man was that good!
 
I think it has to do with your name? Another person with a website for a name PM'D me and it sais "SPAM" although I knew it wasn't very odd and today was the 1st time I seen it. Hmmm
 
It can clearly be seen that I've been a member of this distinguished forum since August of 07. That's two years before the other "potpimp" totally ripped off my uber-cool nick and started his forum.
 
I sent a riu friend a PM not too long ago and he hit me back saying it came with the "spam" tag. He knew I was legit....hell we been friends for a while, but thought maybe someone hacked or something. Maybe just a bug in the system?

there is an automatic spam filter (automatic means computer) in place on the site in an attempt to keep undesirable activity down to a minumum..... sometimes it makes a mistake and reports people that are completely fine... I've had a couple of my pm's hit as "spam" as well.... I wouldnt worry bout it too much bro's

Add a line at the bottom..... THIS IS NOT SPAM..... then the computer will ignore it. But make sure to put it in LARGE CAPS and in BOLD.

you wanna know something funny? I was just clearing out my pm's in my inbox due to my pm's being full. when I came across the pm's we were exchanging a while back, it had a spam tag in front of it. :lol:
