Why is no one discussing this?

While I will admit to not caring enough to read that link, I will post that it's nothing new, this idea of state sovereignty. Does nobody remember the civil war?

This could be the beginning of the end to interstate commerce laws, which could lead to the end of the war on drugs.

Very important stuff.

Nice to see states pushing their constitutional right to not be subordinate to the federal government.
What's there to discuss?

I hope Montana wins their trial case, and I hope all the other states mentioned (Texas, Alaska, Tennessee, Arizona, Idaho, Louisiana, Missouri, Oklahoma, Utah, Washington and Wyoming) pass it successfully.

What surprises me is that New Mexico and Colorado aren't on that list of states.

Though, I'll even go so far as wondering why Michigan and Ohio also aren't on the list along with a lot of other southern states.

If I'm understanding this correctly a gun made "entirely" in Montana could exempt it from Federal oversite / law... so any weed grown entirely" in a state could exempt it from Federal oversite / law too?

Yes, provided that the state is willing to stop being a little bitch and stand up to the Federal Government arguing that the Federal Government only has the right to regulate interstate commerce, and thus only regulate produce or items that actually cross state lines (regardless of the imaginary or unquantifiable effects on the markets through out the country.)

You shoot the head? I was always taught to shoot for the lung/heart area. I guess you wouldn't keep a doe trophy though. Impressive shooting if you can do it.

Hah, the feds will never let states get away with such minor annoyances as " Sovereignty" , hell even Other countries ( Canada ) are told what to do by our Gov't. Remember overgrow? yeah that dude got extradited from Canada to the USA to face legal action here for something that is not a crime in Canada. If they can do it to a whole other country you think some little "State" is going to be able to stand up to them? I sure as hell hope so.

Dude if u can hit the head ur the man...so yes i get issued at least 2 B tags a year for antlerless deer. either a lill nub spike bucks or doe's yes, and yes i always try to hit them in the head. not to hard from anywhere under 200yards with a 9x scope and a rifle.
also if there on the run , its a super sick head shot. of coarse if i c my prize buck for the year, im not going to jeorpordize his rack, and i want him down immediatly= heart and lung, (shoulder shot)

“It doesn’t cost us any money and I like guns,” Schweitzer said after signing the bill.

“I like big guns, I like little guns, I like pistols, I like rifles, and I would like to buy a gun that’s made in Montana,” Schweitzer said.
