Why indoors auto?

Why do most of you choose to go the autoflower route indoors instead of photo??

To me it doesn't make sense as most autos i have done say 7-8 weeks from germination but end up being like 14 weeks long LOL

Same time i could run a hydro photoperiod grow and produce alot more?

I pretty much agree. I'm firing up the garden again, after a hiatus. This time I went all photos , except I got a few freebie auto beans with the order, so threw them in the mix For one thing, I don't want to spend more on the electric bill, running the light at least 20hrs/day to get the most out of them. Secondly, I kinda of like the idea of the purity of the photos and not getting ruderalis in the mix. But, autos have been easy, fast; and pretty damn amazing.

the only autoflowers i run are freebies i get when purchasing new strains to pheno hunt. but my reason for not growing them outdoors is because missouri has bipolar weather and you can’t do outdoors without greenhouse and light dep

you can have continuous grow with autos and you don't need as much ppfd since DLI stays the same but hours lights are on are longer

1. cheaper for me to run the light than a 2kw space heater for 12hrs. Especially with recent electricity price hikes.

2. can work on them whenever convenient

3. 14 weeks? What breeders u tried? Also 4 week veg and 10 week flower yield what in hydro? Not familiar with it. Sativa Dom autos produce 5-7ozs + in the right care.

4. Can veg and flower in the same tent

5. The higher CBD found in autos helps me feel less tired than when I smoked photoperiods all day.

Those few reasons especially the heating is why I grow autos. Even with a 2kw space heater the room can by 60f in winter so fuck that :)

Also when growing for personal use 3-4ozs per plant is perfect for me

Yeah i was just curious mate tbh, i veg for 6 weeks flower for 8 (early flowering strains)
I used bsb genetics for these autos i have atm, although 1 or 2 of them look big they'll probably dry out to 2/3 oz per plant which is rubbish for me lol, i hit 9-12oz per plant in hydro

Well, let me say this. This being my first auto grow, I learned a bit more about the whole ball of wax. I tried growing my first grow about 5 yrs ago inside my basement photos periods I got from somewhere. What a disaster. To much to contend with for a firsty. The next year I was outside and struggled with varmints and such, got barely enough to call it even. But outside is imho easier if you have a greenhouse or garage. I don’t get enough sun in anyone spot for the season so I put them in wagons. That worked excellently. This year I was going to go all photoperiod with a couple of autos as wingmen. The photos died during the spring so I’ve grown ten autos. 7 are still growing.

I do both. I'm on my first run, but I eventually hope to grow an auto for both my photo's stages. (1 auto while the photos veg and one while they flower, different tents) If I end up deciding I don't care for autos, I can use one tent for a mom and the other to flower clones.

Im probably going to do the same next year. Just a couple of photos and a couple of autos. The problem is the photos take so damn long, and if you muff it up you lose a significant % of your efforts. I’m strictly speaking about outside.

Aye that ain’t the best yield for autos. Must’ve had heavy ruderalis traits. Which tend to be early flowering and loose bud structure.

If yield is what you’re after try Blue dream by fastbuds or zamaldelica from ACE seeds. Best yielding strains in my experience. Although as mentioned any sativa dominant auto will produce more than an indica dominant strain. Again just my experience

I really like it! I think it’s the easiest plant I’ve ever grown.

Takes nutes like a champ. Almost impossible to overwater and grows very fast. I’ve ran out so time to pop another seed soon!
A buddy of mine grew 10 of those last year every single one of them turned out completely awesome heavy as hell and looked perfect all the way till the end they did a good job with that strain as a very resilient plant very easy to grow I agree

Nice to hear about the consistency! Something which is very important in the auto game since you can’t clone!
