Why have thay exploded??

My plant are 5 weeks old with 1 week in flowering, yesterday i added honey with my normal feed to 2 of my plants, as a bit of a tester? but today over night they have exploded with now growth!!
so what's going on? Have i got sum sort of deficiency?


ps the 2 plant i did not add any honey to had little change.

no def. mate honey is a carb boost for your plants, but dont do it to often!

plants tend double or even triple is size after the change in photo period.

I read a whle back that honey could be used as a replacement for mollases (Or however you spell it) have never tried though, how much growth do you think was down to honey?..might have to give it a shot

I think you're seeing what you want to see. Honey will feed the microbes in your soil just like molasses and can have a positive effect on your plants. It can also have a negative effect like molasses if used too often so don't use much and don't use often.

Pureblood is right on, approx 1 week into flowering marks a major growth spurt that lasts about 2 weeks, then buds start filling in. The timing on your honey was a coincidence, but carbs certainly won't hurt beneficials just don't go crazy with it.

well i have just checked them and the 2 that i added honey to are 4-5inchis taller than the 2 i did not, and they were the same size before hand,
cud i have had a carb problem? any ideas any one? this is mad 6inchis of growth in about 24hr.

There's no such thing as a carb deficency, plants make their own sugars through photosynthesis, adding honey wouldn't make growth explode like that. It's more likely the other plants just haven't hit their growth spurt yet.

i did not say " carb deficiency" i said carb problem, like in the plant, but i dont understand how that cud work, and yes it cud just be that them 2 plants have had a growth spurt? but i have been growing the same k-train, for sum time now and never had 6inchis of growth in 24hr's.

It will be another week or two before the microbes process the honey, and make it available to the plants.

Sounds like a first week of flower growth explosion. The week or two after that will be hairs and popcorn buds.

I am not sure I would characterize such an explosion as a bad thing. The plants that didnt explode sounds like the problem area to me.
