Plastic bags are filled with tiny microscopic holes, and slowly let air get to the buds. Glass jars are a much better way to go, imo they don't cost that much either.

You can cure the buds in the same containers you will use for long term storage if you use glass jars. They also don't have plastic chemicals that can leach into your bud or change the taste/smell/etc. Glass jars with proper lids and seals will also contain the smell (where the bag won't). I don't even know why you would ask that question with as many posts that you have :P

If I only had this problem! No, seriously, you will be better off cutting them and using the 32oz jars. Maybe use them for the majority and the get a couple big pickle jars and clean them out for the big boys.

Holy crap! If you have very many of those you may want to contact Lawrence/Livermoore Labrotories and see if you can borrow their vacuum chamber for awhile.

A buddy went to Michaels and got a bunch of the old-fashioned jars that are hinged and have rubber seals. The seals are replaceable and the jars will EASILY hold a bud the length of your lower leg. They weren't cheap, but he's used them for over 6 years and never even had to replace the seals.

yea 5 gal i think thats it. Lyk the buckets that come with paint in them, bt do not get the 1 with the paint in it; jus get a clean empty 1. yea dont worry hw much ur tops way wet bcause u cant smok wet tops. they're gonna way about half that wait wen they dry, maybe less..

They make "Smelly Proof" brand bags, available in 5-6 sizes at headshops. These bags let no more particulate matter out than mason jars, and they're only a couple bucks for the largest one. These will totally work for curing as long as you burp them the same, but don't use sandwich bags after all your hard work. It would really take away from its potential texture.

Check at your local grocery store/Target/Walmart?etc for the big 1/2 gallon mason jars. I get them at the local Kroger for $7.99 for a 6-pack. They each hold buds up to about 10 or 11" long and each jar comfortably holds 2+ ounces for curing/storing.

Most ziplock bags aren't smell proof... therefore not completely (microscropically) airtight. If it's a smell proof bag I guess it would work but I say Just go with some big glass jars.

EXACTLY. The Smelly Proof bags are much cheaper than mason jars if you are near a well-stocked headshop, but jars are great to have around. Invest in a box of them and use over and over. Whatever you do though, please don't attempt to cure in regular bags. The bud will lose too much moisture too quickly, and you'll be kicking yourself for an easily avoidable mistake after the hard part's over!

no one else has mentioned this, so i thought i would.. plastic baggies are super static y, and they have a tendency of pulling alot of your trics off of your buds. where they just get stuck to the bottom of the bag only to be tossed in the trash with the empty bag.. glass doesn't have this quality, and you won't end up losing those precious trichomes..
