Why don't people like reggie?

So I'm growing "reggie" and I was looking up some details on the plant so I could have a better knowledge when I grow and I see people saying "dont waste your time" and etc.
What's the problem?

Reggie is regular mid grade commercial garbage, it's not a strain it's a grade.

If you don't know that then I think you better do a lot more reading about marijuana before you try to grow anything or you will be wasting your time and money.

if reggies is a strain name it's named by the biggest idiot on the face of the earth, if I called someone up for some weed and they said they had some reggie I would hang up.

hahahaha "I got the Reggie Kush".....click.

Ive seen some schwag/reggie bagseed grows on here that turned out ok. Most of that stuff is Mexican outdoor, where it is grown with little care or interference. Thats why it comes out shitty, the genetics arent necessarily cursed though. If grown indoors with good lighting (by a decent grower) it will come out much better than the bud the seed was plucked from.

when I was 16 I found a plant growing in my friends garden ,his flower garden, and we had to assume it was from us tossing seeds offa his porch, this thing smelled like a fresh cut orange!it was like a beach ball on a stick, one big round mass of leaves and hundreds of little white popcorn nugs. it was beautiful and it was just Reggie.good reggie..but no one had taken care of it, it took care of itself and it was awesome! too bad a crackhead stole it...

There's a certain reggie which is relatively common from Mexico that smells like pink bubblegum/juicy fruit. Most of the time you can only get hints of it because the bud has been so mishandled, and even then you have to know what you're looking for. But when grown and dried properly, it's honestly some of the best bud you can ever put into your lungs. I think it's some kind of Highland Thai, but that's just a guess. I noticed this specific bud from time to time many years back and one day decided to grow it out. Simply amazing! I had three plants, one looking like an Afghani pure Indica, and the other two like the purest of sativas. The sativa pheno is what gave me the juicy fruit flavor and energetic, euphoric high with no anxiety whatsoever. It was honest to god the best weed I've ever smoked. But I was a newbie and didn't think to clone. Finding that strain again has been a quiet obsession of mine for over a decade now. It's just that I don't deal with reggie anymore. There's genetic gold there, brotha. Look for what I'm talking about.

I have a friend who regularly travels to South/Central America and also Mexico. She recently described to me some incredible bud she was hooked up with by a friend who lives in Mexico. One hit was all she had and it was profound. There are some great genetics still being grown there.
