i did everythign by the book, even let it dry over night and "cure" for a day or 2. still taste like when i was younger and used to scrape the inside of my bong stem for resin. has the watery taste to it kinda. smells exactly like the plant that was growing in which i made the batch with. smells very citrus-y. however, the taste is not so great. any advise, ideas or suggestions? oh yeah, it crumbles when i try to roll it between my fingers. is this normal??? please help!

when i make my bubble, i press all the moisture out onto cardboard, really work it, end up with a marbalised brown ball, sounds like you still have a lot of water retained. was this using the gumby method or through the bubble bags ?

through bubble bags. and i did press some moisture out before letting it sit. i even dried it for 2 days and cured it for 1-2 days. its still tastes kinda funky. it melts good. but i have sieved pollen before that has melted just the same. and was way better tasting too. and when you rolled it between your fingers, the heat would make it into little sticky hash balls. i liked this stuff way more. the taste was exactly like the smell. and the melting properties were spot on. i will attempt a few more trials of making bubble has before i gully give up. my oil making skills are way better, and making keif just seems a lot easier. its just one thing i need to get under my belt as far as extractions go.

I'm in the same boat... I find bubble hash by far the hardest method and also yielded a very small ammount compared to anything I've made oil or kief wise!

yeah im with you man. i dont see the hype? but i will try a few more times before i completely trash the idea. i find the keif i sieve melts better, and if i roll it in my fingers for a second it gets super hash like. and it forms into a little sticky ball. it melts like ive have never experienced. its also way easier and less time consuming. i have been reading Subcools Full Clear Dome Melt extraction recipe and i think i may end up trying that here in a couple of days. i will post results.
