I shot my Ruger 10/22 today. Then I put in the 25 round magazine, nothing unusual happened. It didn't turn into a super deadly killing machine with just the addition of a larger capacity magazine. In fact it becomes a bit unwieldy with that thing sticking out like it does.

I thought the whole point of the 22 was it was such a small caliber, it doesn't have the sufficient mass, so it will bounce around a bit. This makes finding the slug harder to find and more stitching required. A larger 58 caliber would make a cleaner wound to find the slug and easier patching? Also you can carry more ammo.
It's how many chances, not about power per chance when it comes to war. Especially when in comes to children. Just ask DHS. They ordered targets with pregnant women and children on them.

no no no, having more bullets makes each individual bullet more powerful in it's destructive force, and smaller bullets are more nefarious in their ability to wound, while "cop killer bullets" create razor sharp blades to injure and kill doctors when they try to treat the injured.
plus if the gun looks military style that makes the bullets come out all together to increase the chances of striking children.
when i shoot at a deer with my 303 with a 10 round magazine and evil "DumDum Bullets" i kill 2 or 3 children and wound at least 2 cops with every shot on a deer.
if i had more bullets in the magazine and a smaller "more powerful" round i could raise my collateral damage to 8-10 kids and 3-5 cops with each single shot on a deer.
i only rack up the score i do now because my enfeild is "military style" so each time i pull the trigger, 10 bullets come out at once.
and dont bash the pregnant women targets.
DHS is just preparing for their new service, while-you-wait free abortions on demand.
its the next logical step for the liberal sacrament of abortion.

Well, it's just a matter of words and words label. Labels matter in the modern world, it seems. Sticks and stones may break my bones, but a label is a hate crime.
I'm not sure all the 2nd A supporters realize it is exactly these assault style, fighting weapons we have the Right to.
I think many gun owners are already sold down the "reasonable" slope planted as the "good excuse" in the back of their minds. But, with all this home protection and hunting, natter, not in the 2nd A...it lead to the silly....who needs___? And the average people that don't pay attention at all, the rank and file gun owners, just say, oh yeah, reasonable, what ever.
So, instead of quibbling, (the tactic of our enemy,) we should be loud and clear. Hell yes, man killing, light weight, high capacity, scope sighted blacked out, battle rifles is our RIGHT. We should upgrade the DCM Program with AR-15 and sell the M-1s only to those who love them.
We should teach little babies to dry fire with their fingers and whip their butts if they ever forget to clear. The 2nd Amendment should be the first thing they memorize.
And you know, I think we are heading there. The big headline is the untapped market of women who shoot. Very serious these gals, less drunk and macho. I think the backlash will be Mommas who let their babies to grow up to be cowboys. Daughters, too.
In fact, my Aunt, sober, shooting with a 30-30 carbine braced on the door frame, took part of the head off my Uncle. He was drunk running up the driveway waving his .44 shouting death for her. This was before safe zones and call boxes. This was before 911 not that it would have mattered.
The cops, the town and our family took her as a Hero and a hell of a shot, considering a charging, enraged target.
