We should be cooling slightly year over year, but we are warming slightly year over year.

When the system snaps which way will it go, we don't really know. But, it must snap at some point. The Orbit of the Earth is quite well mapped now. We have satellites ahead, astern and sunward of our Orbit.
We can see we are moving into a 10,000 year period where it will be Icy. But, we are warming.

i have already posted the maunder projections, the milencovick projections, and the scholarly works demonstrating that the sun's radiation has been increasing outside the maunder cycle's established pattern (more heat, even when sunspot activity is low) and many various estimates of the projected time remaining in the holocene epoch (from -200 years to another 20,000 years depending who you ask)
that you didnt bother to read that shit doesnt change the facts, or negate the existence of this research.

i disagree with your assessment that "we should be cooling" since we are still on the warming slope of the milencovick cycle, the sun is still increasing it's radiation, and the next ice age hasnt begun cuz the last one isnt officially finished yet.
once the polar icecaps are FULLY MELTED, we should expect another 1-3 thousand years of generally warm temps, then the temps will start dropping for 20-30 thousand years till it hits rock bottom, and starts slowly warming again.
but thats based on the past 12 glacial cycles, and past performance doesnt always predict the future.
the claim that we "should be cooling" despite increasing solar radiation, the current position in the maunder precession, and the expectations based on the previous glacial cycles is unsupported.
