Why do you newbs always grow auto's?

No doubt part of it is to keep you slave to a seed bank.

I am in the process of trying to make fem seeds with auto. I have been setting a plant by itself and putting a trash bag to isolate a branch with cs. No nanners yet. When I get some I will see how the seeds to turn out. If it is good then I will buy a few different kinds and self and cross them and I'm sure that will give me all the auto seeds I want to play with.

I'm not all auto either, nor fem beans. I collect and grow all them. Hell before I ordered seeds I would get them lime everyone used to. From seeded pot. I still have seeds saved and labeled from those days.

I have seeds saved from fire brick weed when I came across it.

Got to love those 16+ week flowering sativas.
CS is garbage, STS is the real deal if you want to fem.

I'm not anti auto, I just think its crazy to treat them like photoperiod plants. I also think its ignorant to not like photos, where do you think the potency is comming from?.

Anyways, I would keep a photo stud, and breed it with my female autos IF I was working autos. Just to keep seed stock.

In all honesty, I have been really looking hard at autos for an outdoor grow, But my new indoor greenhouse wont have any autos in there.

I got a dinafem blue amnesia xxl that the sativa really shows on. Good size. It looks like it would do great outdoors. Outside of their dwarves, buddha has some good size autos. Good smoke to.

I have been looking at them for outdoor guerilla growing and getting more than one crop a year.

Well I'm on my 3rd grow of autos. Idk why I chose them. Don't have alot of space to deal with and I grow indoors in my closet.. My next grow I'm actually gonna be switching to regular seeds instead. My last grow I got 2ozs off of my autoberry and 3.5 ozs off my dutch treat. Great yields for autos and only being my 2nd grow. Right now I've got a royal creamatic that looks like its gonna produce pretty well its also an auto. Autos are a lot more sensitive to nutes also.. But here's my royal creamatic.. Might as well of grown a regular seed ... This plant is almost as tall as me . I'm almost 5'4 and its going on week 7 in flowering

Ive been growing for over 15 years, best mj plant i have ever grown was and still is dutch passions auto "think different". Absolute best euphoric mind ripping high i ever had, potency is a good 8.5. From seed to harvest is only 70-75 days, average weight is 10-12 ounces dry every time... Absolute beast. The plant grows perfect in every way, round and strong and can take anything i throw at it. The only problem i have is bud rot, the humidity always hovers around 75% in this area. I start off with 400watt and bump it to 500 during flower all metal halide. Just one think different covers a 3'x3' area, sometimes it even needs more room.

I was skeptical for years about autos. Grew one and loved the shit outta it. Now i have 14 strains. Im sure some will suck and some will be good. Just like my photos. From what ive seen autos can give you a crap yeild, a good yeild, or an amazing yeild that would shame any photo. Ya gotta shop around to find the good ones i figure, just like every other strain you all have ever run. I may be ignorant for speaking highly of autos after trying one, but im sure half if not more of the auto haters on this thread have not tried more than five different autos. And it seems that the auto guys that have had success are really happy with them, especially in the last couple of years.

Am I not allowed to hang out in the newbie section?

I guess I can understand starting at different flowering times. We do that too in regular gardens it's called perpetual.

But maintaining an even canopy is one of the most important factors of increased yields
i definately second this about canopy management its all about maximising your light potential and spunking as least as possible

this is taking longer than advertised... but way less than the photos advertise. now on day 76 and looks like it will be another 10 days to harvest... i'd post a picture but i'm a little paranoid. good news is that i'm seeing more bud growth than i expected.

Its simple & and if you want to start different plants at different stages then you need to separate the grows...
If they are sooooo shit dude ? Then why are they selling ???
And why would you care ??
Have you got nothing better to do other than hang out on a newbie forum ???
Just my two cents there are a lot of people who feel they have to talk Sh** just because no other reason. To each his own i feel. I grow regs but i have always wanted to try auto's I have just never bought any cause i get all the genetics I need in clone from a master grow at no cost. I also stated breeding my own genetics running my first set of seeds now we will see. I just like to try new things. But again i say no need to knock the next guy for what he does our doesn't do. Not everyone has all the money to have the best grow rooms or all the space to have 2 rooms. Just ignore the people who can't understand diversity.from Detroit

I run a perpetual garden have have 4 lights I can move around higher lower and side to side. Each plant gets each light at the right height. I have a total of 1000w of led in three separate lights and one 300w cfl flower bulb also. But I'm a newbie also only been growing for a year and i still have lots to learn

Don't be scared of you text pics or talk on a cell phone about your grow if the man wanted to bust you he would have already. I stay within my legal limit so no worries here.
The flowing times they advertise are with perfect conditions they are master growers at the seed banks remember that. There are many variables at hand.

What is your soil mix i am running TLO also bit not having good luck with mix i got from buildasoil.com
Yea I bought the revs tlo book. What a waste of money.

The best book to read is "Teaming With Microbes.".

My mix is:

A local cheap organic humus. I add worm castings and compost. I make both.

The compost is, leaves, stalks and left over plant material from the garden, food scraps, chicken cow horse manure.

I add, alfalfa, kelp, down to earth all purpose, espoma garden tone, lime, crushed oyster shell, sand.

I have went no till in my outdoor vegetable garden.
