Why do you choose to grow organic?

I know I'm biased, but I much prefer my own over anything I can find in the Bay Area clubs these days.

The stuff I buy from clubs looks fantastic, but crackles and burns down to a black
, crumbly, sooty tasting funk. Mine tastes fresh until the last draw, and leaves a light, wispy ash. Again... Biased of course, but who cares? I'm growing it for myself, and I couldn't be happier with it.

Probably cuz dispensaries are only worried about making money...As soon as it's dry off it goes.............

Hi Folks,

I am a caregiver in MI and I choose to grow organic ss because I am all about providing a healthy medical cure. I don't understand how smoking chemically grown cannabis is supposed to be beneficial to your body. I am trying to provide the best medical care to my patients and growing organically just seems right. I do not care about "huge yields", I am more concerned about the 3 cancer patients that have enough chemicals in them already. Cannabis is labeled as Mother Natures cure to many ailments and why would someone want to push chems into their and everyone who smokes it's body. I believe my duty as a caregiver is to provide a healthy alternative to processed synthetic medications. Just my opinion...............

Isn't NPK just that in the end? NPK? aren't these chemicals??? So no matter how you look at it synthetically produced or not your plant lives on chemicals. Isn't this a fact?

I'm thinking there are no health benefits from smoking organic weed as opposed to weed grown with synthetic nutrients, the only real benefit is gonna be taste and aroma. If you were talking tomatoes I may buy into the health benefit although I doubt it. Taste/aroma would be the only difference.

Mary absorbs toxic chemicals and radiation faster then any plant on earth and even when flushed for 2-4wks it is still within the plants. They planted mj at chernobyl to remove the chemicals from the atomic bomb site to my knowledge.
+rep for that info, I had to google that. odd .
Although it wasn't a bomb site :P

looking into subcools super soil. honestly if i could put the dang seed in the dirt and come and look at it every once in awhile, adjust if needed but besides that never really have to do much sounds like a good dang deal to me. besides i hate feeding. it gets messed up so easy, even by the most pro of pros just irritating.

So you are telling me that when i smoke chemically grown cannabis and it has black ash then that's just like smoking organic with a nice white ash? I know you can get a semi white ash when people flush properly after using chems but in my years of experience its never the same. Also every chem grown cannabis that i have smoked has been more harsh then any of the organics grown. I am thinking that the harshness is primarily from the chems and maybe from not propoerly drying or curing but I am sure them chems are still in there. Am i right in stating that it is a pretty good indicator that there are still chems in it? As you can never really flush 100% of the synthetics out of it.

I would have to disagree with that. Whether you are burning it or consuming it you are still taking its properties into your body. Anyone who thinks synthetics are the same as organic should just be taking Marinol instead of smoking it because chems arent different from Organics right? Give me a break.

Didn't answer my question but thanks for the insight, are NPK chemicals? using marinol and growing with synthetic nutrients have some kind of relationship? I'll give you a break, give me some facts.

im lookin into going organic, this is my first grow. im currently using canna coco pro plus. but i dont like using nutes as i keep burning the plants, im using ionic grow and boost. can anyone recommend a ready mixed soil which i dont need nutes for? unforutnatly i aint got the money to splash out and buy bit by bit to make my own thats why im looking for a mix. thanks.

If ur looking for a prepared soil there is the FFOF(fox farms ocean forrest) is ready to go you don't need to add any nutes for the first 30 days or so, but after that u will need to start using some nutes, or teas if u r really tryin to go organic. There isn't really any soil u can get where u won't need to use any nutes for the duration of the grow unless u get a time release soil but I would advise against that because you cannot control the nutes ur plant is or is not getting.

Also another reason for growers to go organic if you do it properly you shouldn't have to worry about nute burn and such like with chems. NPK are the 3 main chems in all nutes, when u look on the bottle or W/E and it says 3-2-6 that is the ratios of the ferts in the mixture
N=Nitrogen, P=Phosphate, K=Potassium

No NPK are elements which can be derived chemically or naturally. So my organic natural derived NPK is better than your amonia and salt based NPK fert. Lol

Ions derived from organics or from fertilizer compounds isn't so much the point. When someone grows organically they don't use systemic or synthetic pesticides, herbacides, fungicides, chelators and PGR's.....

Indoor organics is great and will help reduce our global impact, but If your working an outdoor plot, organics is "essential" for long term health and viability of that plot......

So you're saying there is no health benefit from consuming organically grown weed as opposed to synthetics?
Wrong wording actually since smoking anything can't be healthy, so you suppose the hazards to smoking organically grown weed are less than the hazards of smoking chemically grown weed?

Synthetic or Organic both produces the chemicals NPK. Synthetic is man made and will hurt you especially if you are filled with synthetics from pills, chemo.etc and they also kill the earth. Organic is from mother nature. They both produce NPK but much different. Miracle Gro is a long way from a cows bum:lol:
