Nice to see finally get away from those expensive and air movement blocking slabs of Al. Awesome prices, too

I've invested in 3 massive passive air blocking giants, two 12x43 and one 12x23. Air movement is my ONLY complaint. I just caught Growmau5's youtube vid where he tests pins vs fins and I'm kind of pissed. Not anytime soon, but I might make the switch to pins. Getting good air movement in my space sucks. The best solution i've come up with was buying clip fans that actually clip on the heatsink, problem is, they don't last, the oscillating motors always stop working, cheap parts, and not designed to move upside down. I cringe when I water my plants and have to listen to click, click, click, click, click, click, click, click, click, click, click, click, click, click, click.

Wall fans, blowing across the top of the canopy? Another, blowing upskirt to prevent stagnation underneath?

Orrrrrr.... thinking outside the box here- consider a vertical grow approach?

I hate that sound from the goddam cheap oscillating fans. I keep having to replace them.
We agree! Fuck I have been through 6 fans in 7 months. My fault for hanging them nearly horizontal but even the expensive ones die out just as fast.

Up skirt is what it's called? Lol I just bought some small 10" fans for doing the same thing. Seems to be working perfectly.

Tower fans are a good reliable (so far) option for me. I don't have mine constantly oscillating but turn a little each day. Oscillating fans that will hold up should be available through office or maybe restaurant supplier.

You are moving some serious air! Plenty of light and space to justify investment in commercial, industrial grade.fan. Not to mention those big buds.

Monos aren't very good by themselves since they aren't the full PAR spectrum. Cobs are which is why they work better. By adding the monos to the Cob, you are actually bumping up the regions where monos target.

A number of people use supplemental lighting using reds, far reds, uv, etc which is really no different than tossing in a blurple.

Consider under driving it to make it last longer and be more efficient.

In any case it will help so long as it is putting out some sort of light.

I agree they overdrive the Blurple and would be more efficient driver softer.
I believe most are less efficient that HID

you gotta remember that overdriving is the blurple SOP

efficiency doesnt sell to those who dont understand it

thats why, as far as bluples, i like the CLW550

it pushes the osrams hard but is also dimmable, i'm hoping this translates to an efficiency increase, im thinking it will as those guys generally use great components

the last "dimmable" blurple i tried to do this with (kind) did not show any efficiency gains when dimmed

my only issue is how to hang them ... diy will be on 50cm and 80cm bars, and china is 40cm long 15wide or something like that...
