Why do Pot Doctors need any information about my caregiver ?

My practice for one has no interests in a patient's caregiver. I simply remind the patient they need to put that in prior to sending to state, make sure they have an attestation, and remind them to have the caregiver initial rather than check the lines.

The patient's caregiver is not important to their medical file on my end, but I am a physician rather than a 'pot doctor' and do things professionally. I don't play the caregiver angle for additional charges as some have.

well sir, like it or not you are a "pot doctor". This is a pot forum. And your statement is rather ???? Well wrong.
Your Cadillac office was the first place I heard of this happening.

Rather doubtful. We don't require caregiver information.

Actually, I am in Cady today, and as I was replying to your post about the caregiver information, the staff was fielding that exact question from a patient. I said nothing and listened as they carefully explained the paperwork a caregiver needed to fill out, what section of the application they needed to fill in, the need to have a front and back of their DL, etc. The patient asked if they had to do that right now...

'OF COURSE NOT, THAT ISN"T NEEDED FOR YOUR CHART TODAY, YOU CAN DO IT AT HOME BEFORE YOU SEND IT IN.....'.

Perhaps you ran into a new employee that didn't know the policy I have in place, and always had in place Nancy. But thanks for bringing it to my attention. Perhaps you were thinking of Harwell's office in Cady, before he turned his patients over to me, I don't know what his staff did with caregiver information.

Alternative Solutions has a new facility in Oden Mi .. Anybody familiar with there procedures ? Do share if inclined .
I would rather not discuss this group, I helped set it up but left rather rapidly for very good reason. Last I heard they were selling paperwork through the mail and offering 'free' doctor visits at a hotel to make the paperwork good. At least that is what the paperwork from them my patients are getting in the mail says.

We don't do things like that. We don't accept paperwork from ASP as medical records.

No matter how you slice it, a pot doc is a pot doc.
The fact I am not what folks consider a 'pot doctor' in a hotel room is what got one of my patients permission to use cannabis on probation in court yesterday. Midland County- home of Bill Schuette.

Having a solid reputation as a physician, a real medical practice, and keeping actual records does count for something it appears.

But thanks for your contribution of a sound bite Greg. Once again a shout out from the sidelines from a position of ignorance.

PS Planet Greentrees Radio 'Victory in Paw Paw' Might want to have a listen around the 17:00 min mark if you think everyone that does certifications is the same.

No need to shout Hun. As the only Doctor openly on this forum we are listening closely.

I showed your reply to the 2 'cousins' who originally told the story at the last family meeting. I won't repeat what they said. They disagreed with everything u said, loudly. Too MMA types at the desk where insisting with the older caregiver who was there before them. At one point the boys thought things where going to get physical. One staff member seemed to be the club owner.
Now my clan has your true measure sir.

And some of the asshole cousins wondered if those staff members actually still got in the ring?

Have a nice day
