Why do people

grow something like skunk when they could be growing something seriously potent like NYC diesel or crystal or such.

I just don't get why people invest in lower grade brand when could be growing something of higher content.

Is there something I do not understand?

Without resorting to platitudes like "to each their own" or "it takes all kinds", I think it comes down to not everyone enjoys the same kind of buzz. Personally, i like all kinds of highs but not in every situation. I like the "by myself getting into doing stuff" high. I like the "can't stop talking but i don't care" social high. I DO NOT like the "can't get my ass off the sofa even if it was on fire" high but a lot of folks do.

There are more times I'd like to be just a little bit high rather than wasted off my ass - does that make sense and help answer your question?

in my view it is personal preference in accordance with specific objectives and priorities...and maybe even availability of resources....its like anything else...a timex vs a rolex.....a kia vs a maybach......motel 6 vs 7-star luxury...you can tell the time, arrive at your desitination and sleep in a manner of different ways..... a consideration of the choices and there rewards?

yea....I've heard so much of this....I am disappointed I did not research a little more before I choose.....I guess for my first grow the BigBud will suffice....but I like the idea of so many others at this point....

I like Skunk#1, and Skunk crosses.
Sure, it is not the most potent. However to me the taste is fantastic... a soft floral flavor with a hint of spice, delicious! It can be plenty potent... a nice balanced high that lasts!
IMO, more newbies should seriously consider this strain. It is easy and relatively inexpensive.
To me it is not just all about potency!

But even if you dont want to be "wasted off your ass" It would still make more sence to me to just smoke a little less of something better. Then it will last you longer too cause you dont have to smoke as much. Just my opinion though.

Well, after further reading, I think it has more to do with my mis-understanding of the different high that indica gives versus sativa. Sativa is the upper echolon of plants if you will, that is if I understand right. It's what you would pay 50 for an 8th for, if I understand correctly.

With that in mind, all the indica plants tend to give you that head high that will get you stuck to the counch if you smoke to much of it. Correct?

I ran across a blunt roach the other day in my room as i was cleaning. Since I hadn't smoked in nearly 3 months, it stoned me with just 4 hits. But I hated, just hated the high. All my movement felt delayed and I didn't feel like moving at all on top of it. Maybe it was cause 4 hits with no tolerance was to much.

But 3 months prior to that i hit a joint twice, and about 5 mins later, I felt energized and almost like what the I would feel like on the come-up of a mushroom or acid trip. This is the high i'm aiming at. This is the weed I want to grow.

Well if one or the other takes longer to flower, it will generally be the Sativa. If anything, I think that should be a price gauge(besides how well it was grown), because the different highs are not necessarily better than one another, just used for different purposes. Yet, something like bigbud should be cheaper compared to a white strain obviously.

yes, indica = couch lock and sativa = energizing headhigh

that doesnt necessarily mean that sativa is better than indica though, so i wouldnt say sativa is the upper echelon of plants - id say its all about opinion (even though my opinion is that sativas are definately better, but indicas yield more and can be equally potent when grown right). there are some FIRE indicas, such as goo (afgooey = grapefruit x nl x afgani), which is in my top 3 favorites. however, im a sativa lover as well. i grow powerplant, which is a pure sativa landrace strain.

I had some of this last year and it was fantastic! I was wondering what cross created this lovely strain but couldn't find any info. You just made my day! The smell of this stuff was just amazing, and the flavor was divine.

im so glad someone else was blessed with the opportunity to try this amazing strain! ive been toking on it for a month or so - and last year i was smokin on it for months without getting a tolerance! the smell/taste is SO unique and SOOOO good, i cant think of any other strain with a similar smell. also, the stuff i got was grown outdoors in northern cali so the quality is even better than indoor - somethin about the outdoor properties makes the high so soothing. we all call it goo, but i think the strain is afghooey - my buddy used to call it ghanigoo. i wish i could find seeds, ill prolly end up growing any seeds i find - ive nvr grown bagseed before, but i would gladly grow goo. :blsmoke::blsmoke:
