Why can’t I use reflectors

iv been trying to use reflectors on my CXB3590 3000k 90cri but even at just 30w-35w it just fry’s everything.
I sprouted with 4 304 Samsung boards with 177w between the 4 and then had 6 outer cxb with 115w between each 3.
But, the seedlings have fried edges and that was at 45 inch’s away in a 4x4 tent.

I see lots of people useing reflectors and have zero issues. What’s going on with mine lol?

I've found even at 2' my cxb's3590's are too strong for my seedlings. Either I move them off to the side to where they are getting "shade light" (barley any light getting thru the leaves of my taller more mature vegging plants) space permitting. Or...... throw a cfl over 'em for a week and be done with 'em. HTH.
 
That’s why I put them right at the top, I hear people say 36 inch’s to start with reflectors so I went a foot more lol
 
I have never had good luck with new seedlings comparable to CFL at close range.
A 23W at 1 to 1.5 inches with a small fan is going to be perfect every time.
 
I refuse to work with stretched seedlings. But have enough clones and mothers to not have to worry about this much anymore.
 
I run from seed every time as nowhere to keep mothers and no access to clones but I always start with full light just higher and never had a problem but it’s the intensity with the reflectors I’m confused about

This is what I thought.
My reason for wanting to use reflectors is that if the light has to be at 24 inch’s il have more light 12 inch’s into my canopy than if the light has to be 12inchs, I might have 6
 
Or am I totally wrong that par doesn’t follow inverse sqare law? And that photons rain down until they hit something?
 
From MY observations in my tent using reflectors on my cobs, it causes an observable intensity shift downwards, tighter beam tighter beam angle if you will. I have the ledil angelina reflectors. I'm definitely no led guru, and just regurgitate what I've read or learned here while exoeriencing it in my garden.
 
Yep bio buzz light mix same as iv used for 3 years and a Mephisto white crack I ran once before, I also have 2 chemdogging that are not as bad but curling. 1 cd is in soil 1 in coco but the coco seed is younger
 
Just saw the pic. That is not what I experience from too intense light on seedlings. as stated in a post above, looks like hot soil.

edit, nevermind. I'll sit on the sidelines and go back to observing.
 
I have the kingbrite 90* reflectors.

All the feed the 4 plants have had is 4ml per litre of rhyzo and a dash of mammoth p

Sounds interesting. I have to admit iv never used either product of nutes before. Normally biobizz root juice but I’m switching to coco and going with the canna range

14W leds from the box stores put out more light than the 23W CFLs

OP just take the reflectors off it will solve your problem. or dim your drivers way down

i dont use them and dont recommend then for anybody in a reflective space- they hinder even light distribution
