Why Are These Metal Halides SO Cheap?

I was hooking on different websites trying to find a good price on lights. I found this site where it has these 400 watt metal halide lights super cheap. Can someone take a look at the link and tell me if theres something about these lights that wont work for growing?

they arent 6500k temp bulbs and they probably lack good growth spectrum like horticulture bulbs, that would be my guess.

the descriptions look fine to me. Im not too familiar metal halides, but these might be the type of lights you have to attach a ballast to. Ballasts are usually the expensive part

Um I thinh there all pretty janky bulbs considering theyre in the same category as sylvania, but what do I know. I can tell you that th EYE bulbs are actually some high quality bulbs.

yea these guys are right they arent really growing lights. but u can still buy them they just wont be as suited

But essentially a 400 watt metal halide light should still produce the same spectrum of light as another 400 watt metal halide shouldnt it?

if it says it does than it does. Buy the lights and see how they work. if the plants dont like it get another light. Those lights are soo cheap anyway

They sound perfectly fine to me...
