Why are plants short

Everyone of my plants are staying really short i mean i know you dont want them to stretch.. But what could cause them to not get as big as they should

What do u mean by as big as they should???
How old and how tall are the plants???
What lights are u using???
Whats the pot size they´re in???
If u´re feeding them, what are u feeding and how much are u feeding????

400 watt hps about 3 inches tall and lets see started with seed 2 1/2 weeks ago in mg soil i think that is the problem not real sure
pot size 1 gallon

Hummm MG soil u said...i hope ur checking that soil and water pH....2 1/2 weeks under a 400w HPS should be taller then 3" and damm wide aswell....anyway as long as the internode have a good structure and the plants look healthy why bother.....taller plants don´t mean higher yield...

Short is good! more ventilation might help them grow better... and CO2 makes things better... Get some dry ice and throw it in a bucket in your, its a good cheap way to add co2 to a small grow space. and it will help with the heat regulation.
