Why are Nirvana seeds so cheap? All other online seed shops are $65 to $108, but Nirvana is $28 to $70. Anyone have the answer?

Thank you Roseman. They produce they're own seeds and do not have to use a middle man, according to all who have used them they are great. I am answering myself........... Kinda stupid. Thanks again Roseman.

This is untrue.
The real reason why nirvana seeds are so cheap is that nirvana are not a serious breeder, they dont have decent parent stock, they have just got seeds from other breeders and crossed them or bred them, so basically the genetic line isn't as stable.
Parent stock are either land race strains or true breeding strain.
Land race means that the plant hasnt been messed with, its still in the image god created it in.
True breeding is where a company has been breeding a seed for so long that the genetics are completely stable, then it is considered a true breeding strain. Skunk #1 is a strain of this nature.
If you cross two different strains together you will end up with whats known as a f1 hybrid. An f1 hyrbid should be pretty stable and have consistant results that resemble the breeders description.
If you cross two f1 hybrids together that are similar in their genetic make up, (their pheonotypes) then you get whats called an f2 hyrbid which isnt as stable.
Most sites advertise if its f1, as you can see on nirvanas website very few are actually an f1 hybrid which means you could see considerable variation from the single pack of seeds.
Thats why nirvana are cheaper

Let's say you get what you pay for, and when on a budget Nirvana is awesome $28 vs $100 and you should get 4 viable girls if one is unstable thus
$9ish per girl
spend $100 at 50/50 boys to girls you now have 5 girls at $20 per
Nirvana is still a deal and the shipping is awesome

Fuck it. Serrated makes a good point, for the cheap price its worth the shot. I'd rather lose $30 than lose $100, plus not everyones experience will be the same, and judging by Big Mikes paypya pics I will start with that. Good info gentlemen. In fact someone should start a thread that is strictly for seed reviews, this way everyone gets to hear the good and the bad about distributers and can judge they're own decisions.

I have germed only 2 sets of 10pks from them.
1st one was 9/10 germed 5 fem /4 male
this grow = 8/10 germed and as far as I can see I should have 4 fem / 4 male. I am 6 days into 12/12 for al but 1 of the plants that is at 2 wks now.
ALso I am not an expert seed cracker so I consider these germ rates pretty darn good for a noob.Honestly I think Nirvana is good for many ppl who are not consumed by growing. The real hardcore folks pay top dollar for the best genetics, often feminized so they have zero wasted space in their gardens and it's all consistantly dank. That's the direction I'm headed in anyways. It's worth the extra money to get the best seeds, feminized or not.

Only newbies buy feminized experienced growers layout the money on one set of decent regular seeds and then clone.

Very true, but my wife's parents come in to town like 2 or 3 times a year and I would never get away with growing year round. I have to deal with the seeds. I think I am going to just keep a little pollen on hand so I can produce my own seeds though. NGT, what strain are you working on right now?

HOLY SHIT MAN! Your grow room must be reeking! Good luck man, let me know how the White Rhino turns out. I've been looking at WR seeds and want to try it, but don't know how much it will actually yield with the lights I am going to set up. Expensive seeds so I want to get the most bud I can. Going to practice on Master Kush or Paypya first.
Doesn't Nirvana supply the White Widow strain? If so, didn't this strain win an award of some sort?
I went to a website and they list many different strains from multiple breeders. Nirvana's price was about the same as most of the other ones. There are other sites where the prices on these same strains from the different breeders are much higher.
I guess it is good to shop around and get feedback from others who have ordered to make sure they are a dependable site. Good luck!

A lot of companies sell the white widow strain, if not all. Unfortunately though you do get different grades of it. Nirvana doesnt state what type of widow it is so it could even be f9 for all I know, its always best to get the strain from the original breeder.

My dad always said this and time and time again it has proven to be true, but I feel everyone should still make they're own opinions. Some have had good experiences with them and others have had bad. I am going to try Nirvana's Paypya and go from there, weather I will purchase from them again, well I will just have to see how my first experience goes.
