Hey guys,

This is a picture of my current setup. I have these seedlings in there that are almost 2 weeks old but are growing very slowly. I think they may have suffered some stress from my light being too high about 5 days ago. Also, my pH was unstable because of my hydroton not being soaked in phed water but i've stabilized it now to 5.5.

Temps are 76 right now. nighttime temp is 60deg. my 400W MH Light is 33inches away from the tops of the plants. They were looking a little yellow before so I moved the light up, but could the light being too high effect the growth of the plants

I flood the table 4x a day, every 4 hours for a half hour. Does this seem right to you guys?

do you guys see the signs that look like nute burn??! they are not getting ANYTHING and i use tap water that was sitting out for 24 hours. adjust ph with EJ natural ph up and down. could the fact that i didnt ph adjust my hydroton be the problem?????

PH would have indeed effected growth. Also, for plants so small..I think maybe 30 minutes soaking in water 4 times a day may be a bit much. I don't know for sure though, I have only grown in coco coir and soil. So don't take that to heart just yet.

i dont know much about hydroton but the problem could be no food, im not sure how well hydroton is suppose to hold nutes but maybe its starving too death which would cause it too yellow wither grow slowly and die. if you keep the ph at a good level around 6.5, then all should be okay unless its starving or i dunno if its with hydroton but i heard you gotta rinse that stuff for a really long time and then soak the stuff in ph buffered water for awhile, is the hydroton dusty when you get it?

I rinsed pretty well. I thought they dont need food right now?

PH should be 5.6 to 6.2 I like 5.8 ......5-5 too low and that 6.5 way too high for hydro and yes very light nute mix for your sprouts 2 to 400 ppm New hydroton will fuck with your ph for awhile just keep making small adj. several time a day. Do not make big adj will cause more harm than good

Oh yea flood 3Xday for 15min each should be good but may have to adjust as they grow
Watch your temps nothing below 60 them little girls need to be kept warm

yes the setup is definitely flooding high enough. I put then back under T5s and adjusted the ph to 5.6 (and it will prob raise .2-.3 over the next few waterings) Also adjusted flood time to 15min
