Why are my leaves so fat?

Hey guys,

This is my third grow, first time with this strand. I'm not concerned whatsoever, but I'm just wondering why the leaves on my girls are so god damned fat?

I'll post a pic of the mother along with my others so you can see the difference.

Info about grow:
Strain: G13
Setup: DWC/Bubbleponics
Nutes: GH using Lucas Formula
Age: Bigger ones 3 weeks, smaller one 2 weeks
Mother Setup:
Soil
Not sure what nutes, got them from the person I bought the mother from
8 months old

As you'll see, the pics with the bigger ones in the DWC grow are 3 weeks old, the smaller ones 2 weeks. I included shots of ones that are in soil, they are also 3 weeks old, but they look just like the mother! Everything, except two of the potted ones(The ones with smaller leaves are Northern Lights) are ALL G13.

So why are the 2 and 3 week old plants in the DWC leaves so fat? It's like they're on roids. Needless to say, I CAN'T wait to see what the buds are going to turn out to be.

Pic Layout:
Pics #1-5 are the 3 week old ones.
Pics #6-8 are 2 weeks old.
Pics #9-10 are of the Mother.
Everything is strain G13.

P.S. If anyone needed any verification that growing using bubbleponics, I think these pics are proof enough.

Hey Kraft, your leaves are so fat because that is a Indica plant. here is a photo to show the difference. your plants are looking good and healthy, keep up the good work.

G13 are mostly indica, broad fan leaves are a common characteristic of indica strains.

Thanks guys for your super quick replies. I thought it would be attributed to the strain, I was just not sure because the mother looks nothing like them.

I guess they look pretty much the same, just the ones in the DWC are ultra hulked out roid versions of the mom.

I can't wait to see the buds, I'm getting giddy lol .

BTW, if anyone wants some closeup pics, I'd be happy to take some for you. I'm really happy about this grow. This strain is absolutely amazing growing with DWC.

P.S. I'm using an air cooled hood with a 600W HPS right now. The person who sold me the mother said he vegged the mother under HPS only because he said it grew better that way rather than a MH.

Thanks very much, I sure hope I'm doing something right. They've got a couple little light green spots, but nothing I'm too worried about. I've been checked the PPM and the nutes are decreasing PPM everyday, so I know they want more rather than less so I've been giving them more, but not too much. I'm at 500PPM right now, I'll see if they want more in the next couple days.

Hopefully they keep exploding as crazy as this during flowering. Can't wait to see the buds.

I'll definitely post some pics of the buds when I flower these girls in 1.5 months or so when they're done.
