Pics sucks, what kinda of light are you using? Whats the strain? What kinda of nutes? How tall are the plants?

i got 2 2 foot flourescents with a heat bulb i use to manage climate of my grow room and a fan and its just a random bag seed i got out of some chronic i had

Your plants are stretching hard to find light that isn't there.

You need to do some research if you want the healthiest / most successful plants.

big mistake flowering with those crappy tubes, i use two 40watt tubes for vegging them plus i also use 130watts of CFLs. of course, id never flower with cfl's or tubes - my switchable 1000watt is the perfect source of light for flowering. you should go to HTGSupply.com and buy atleast a 400watt HPS for $120. you'll be happy with that light and your buds will be HUGE, but with those crappy tubes dont expect more than a few grams.

Its your lights, don't use a heat lamp.

If you are going to use smaller lights go get cfls daylight for vegg and soft white/warm cfl for flowering.

You will want to use at least 10 bulbs to get a somewhat good grow.

Good luck

I'm having the same problem but have plenty of light. I use a 400 metal halide and a T5 4/4ft tubes system, and did the math I'm putting out right about 52000 lumen. Sorry I have no picks, strain is strawberry cough and northern lights? pics on the net are like holy hell those buds are huge and look at mine and I'm like damn they are small in comparison, also use flora series nutes and fox farm ocean forest soil and they are in 5 gal. buckets, temps maintained at 80 deg. and 50%-60% humidity, and lights set on timer, and fans moving air, also have them in my snake and rat room for CO2, and blacked out a window so no light gets through. I do everything by the book so to speak, but I think at this stage the buds should be a lot bigger than they are any suggestions. Sorry again for no pics, but hope I explained everything well enough.:wall:

I agree with all other who said it was not enough light. Some suggested a 400W HPS. It looks like you are only doing a couple small plants, a 150W HPS will do the trick, and its only 70 bucks from htgsupply.com. Of course, a 400 gives you room to expand, but you can't beat the price of a 150.

any photo comparisons out there of difference between fluorescent tubes and mh growth? would 600w mh growth really be that much better (faster, bigger, or what?) than say 8 x4' t5 or t5ho fixtures (~400w)? i guess it comes down to; any idea what the lumen difference between the two is; and the effect of lumen difference on veg?

a couple of cfls are ok for seedlings but once the plant starts to head it needs much more light intensity if u want hard chunk. your lights will stretch the plant then give u wispy, soft heads.

vegged to early or not enuff light dudeee i was using a nice 2700k 125w eco lite massive bulb reflector n even put tin foil round sides of the reflecter hanging so it coverd the plant and i only got about 3.5g dry off my whole plant! daymm sum nice smoke tho if only i had more lighting and vegged another week or 2 it would of been a beastt

It's all good man! Just add more light! If you're doing it on the cheap, get a couple of 2700K flourescent lamp lights, and hang them above your plants. Maybe make a little reflector out of foil. Should cost like 15 bucks. It'll be ghetto, but it'll be alright. Or if you have some coin, get some descent floro t5 tubes.
Also, at one month your plants will just be beginning to pack on weight. In 2 weeks you'll be amazed how much larger they get. Just get more light on them, and make sure it's warm light. 2700K, it'll say on the bulb.

Metal Halide (MH) have a much more blue spectrum, they are good for vegging. High Pressure Sodium (HPS) have a much more red spectrum, they are good for flowering. So those who are using a MH for flowering, you are using the wrong bulb. Get yourself a HPS.

That being said, I did the math for the cost of CFL bulbs and the amount it would take to have a decent yield. With the bulbs, reflectors, and the connections, it would be cheaper to get yourself a 400 watt HPS from HTG Suppply on Ebay, and you'll get much better results. Not to mention is will save you the hassle of wiring all the different bulbs correctly.

i see a few problems for one you seedlings look like they where not very mature when the lights where flipped to flower. when you grow from seed it is a must (in my opinion) that you wait till the plant has alternating nodes or the plant will stretch out bad and there will be to much spacing between bud sites for those smaller nugs to come together to form massive colas. this is why i like flowering clones they are already mature i dont even flower seeds anymore they will be cloned and remain mothers or discarded and a clone will replace it for mother. another thing is light of course you have to think of it in grams per watt. a very experienced grower can achieve 1 gram per watt but if you are only running 100watts of light what can you really expect out of your grow. now t5,s are good floros as well as cfls but anything aside from that you are waysting time. HID (high intensity discharge) lighting is called that for a reason for the watts, you are getting much more lumen output than a regular old bulb would. get better lighting and start cloning and you will never want to stop growing.
