Why Are Gas Prices So Low?

Blatantly false. The dollar is now HIGHER against all major foreign currencies.

But, you know, go ahead and make up your own 'facts'. No one will notice.
Russia's two major exports are Oil and Vodka
Russia's economy is on a slippery slope
Sweden just dropped the euro
Communist party (Syriza) elected in Greece

Just a few things that have happened recently that I feel are going to lead to something bigger happening. Whether it be war, revolution, collapse. Who knows what will happen but these events aren't good for us.

Having a higher dollar gives us more purchasing power but makes it harder to export goods. As we don't have a productive economy anymore it really doesn't effect us all that much but if we were to turn around and start exporting more it would start to show the effects as the higher pricing would lead to lower overall exports.

That is speculation on my part though after watching some trends. Who knows man who knows. I hope we all have enough marijuana to hold us over til shit gets back to normal.

That is name branding. Like alcohol as well. But at least alcohol is aged for years. I wear the cheapest jeans Walmart sells. They are comfortable and last for years. Levi's? Meh. I rarely wear the ones I own. I am more comfortable in the cheapies.

Marijuana is easy to grow like tomatoes or many other veggies. When you lift the black market? And people discover this? Why would they pay $50 an 1/8th? I think watching the Colorado fall harvest will be a tell. If everybody and there brother grows outdoors this summer, which I feel could happen, and all of a sudden you got all this abundance of MJ and competition. I think wholesale prices will fall.

Like the oil panics of the past were overly dramatized, which drove gas prices through the roof, eliminating the marijuana black market will cause prices to plummet.

Oil is just sludge pumped out of the ground and refined. Marijuana is just a plant that is easily grown. You can learn all about it on the Internet afterall.
That already happened in California, 4 years ago a LB of top shelf was 4,200 standard pricing to the collectives. Now it is 2800-3200 if they are feeling generous. It does effect business during the fall season but generally the shops will try to scoop up as much of that outdoor as possible for the lowest price so that the street doesn't continue to push lower pricing.

The thing is if growers all agreed on a price and did not budge on it then we wouldn't have these problems as much. But we have tons of people in Cali willing to cash in on whatever they can and they will take bottom dollar pricing.

IT really sucks because the industry was where you could take a step up in life, pay all your bills, have some money to take the wife out at the end of it all. But now it is becoming closer to slave labor (a labor of love) but you don't get reimbursed like you should.

Umm just to point out Saudi's well have been running for 75 years or so, if not longer and still producing. There are still Iraqi fields almost as large [2x] just coming online as of 2013......they will wait it out for decades.....

then shale oil will become like the endless amounts of coal we have, but don't use because it aint worth it....
You realise the some of the biggest oil reserves known to man are on US soil right?

They reside under wildlife sanctuaries though, so its worth fracking to keep them untouched.

I think you might have missed the point. The dollar being higher than other sinking currencies is like saying cat shit smells better than dog shit. Go ahead and take a whiff.

How the currencies relate to each other now doesn't answer the inflation part many are experiencing.

full legalization on the federal level will lead to ADM and Phillip Morris getting into the game, and at the same time expect new regulations making it very hard to grow your own without regulation and licensing fees

Trying to manipulate the laws of supply and demand and individual freedom is what got us into this mess.

Fuck regulation, break your chains....slave.

Considering that popcorn cost 3.50 at the theatres 10 years ago and now it cost upwards of 6-7.50 I would say we are the ones fucked right?

Wages have increased by 2% while the cost of living has risen much more than that. I really don't think the dollar rising is a good sign in these times. With the petrodollar about to collapse, our trillions of dollars that we owe other countries and a president who wants to challenge the world on his own we are fucked.

I think if the USA government defaults in the long run it will be a good thing.

What happens if the country defaults? do we lose our homes that we are working to pay off or does that get consolidated?
They will print more money. If you added up everything in America, roads public building land etc, were worth quadrillions. That's why we still have such a great credit rating. Just sayin. Everything gonna be alright as long as we can keep those that don't play well with others, terrorists and criminals at bay. I don't think weed is criminal. The laws are just stupid.

It just hit $1.93 a gallon here today. I've read a bunch of articles and it seems like they each have a different reasoning. Anyone know what the real truth is cause I don't know what to believe.
Spot Oil Price. No mystery here. And it has to do with the House of Saud and the Iran deal on Nukes. Saud, increase production, or else.

And it also has to do with Keystone pipeline is a done deal. And it has to do with the USA will soon become a bulk exporter again, as we switch to a NG economy.

The USA defaults? To who? The Space Aliens? We are the top of the heap. We don't default, period. There would be no house of cards, all fall down if the USA falters.

We will blow it all to a hard glass surface before the USA will default.

In a sense we defaulted when we decoupled from the gold standard. Now that we can digitize money to pay debts it's not really paying debts. If I could pay off credit cards with credit cards my life would be like a Vanderbilt.

Our saving grace is the collusion of central banks around the world for now, but when we lose the dollar as the world currency it's going to sting. The new world currency will be a bucket of mixed currencies so it shouldn't be crippling, but it's going to leave a mark.

Maybe overall, but the tobacco industry is stratified to meet the tastes and price points of consumers from generic cigarettes to $2500 boxes of premium hand rolled cigars. This industry will be no different.
You are leaving out the prohibitive cost of meeting regulations. And the cost of research to obtain weed that will be far superior to anything you can grow and would be proprietary
weed will be priced cheaper than you could ever grow it and at the same time laws would be introduced prohibiting you from b growing by those already in the market.
