So I thought I had a way figured out, went about building it, and no dice :( It leaks. Now sure how to fix it...so I come to you guys.

I bought a 90 degrees elbow deal that pushes through a 1" hole and has a grommet on the outside and you thread a nut on the inside. My problem now is, the grommet likes to squeeze out of the sealing surface as your tighten down and/or twist it to dump out the nutrients.

I need to find a grommet that has a seating surface of 1" and the 90 degree elbow to go with it like everyone else is using. I couldn't find the bushngs anywhere at lowes, maybe someone can lead me to the right department or another way of working with the 1" hole I cut??

you have to look in the hardware dept at lowes or the depot the isle with all the drawers in it,you might be able to step up to a 3/4 barbed 90 or 1 inch you would have to see what one works best, also I think there called electrical bushings, what you have now I believe is called a bulkhead fitting, instead of twisting the fitting down use a T and a ball valve

no, for the side of a bucket or tub to make draining nutrients far easier. I think I got it figured out.
